An Unbelievable Alliance

Matt Murdock arrived at Rikers Island Prison. He was very surprised that he had actually been invited here, and by Kingpin personally.

That was rather strange. After all, Kingpin knew his identity. Yet he had still done this, which meant Kingpin had not wanted to see the blind lawyer Matt Murdock, but Daredevil.

"I request a meeting with my client. Thank you."

After explaining the situation to the guard, Matt was taken to the visiting room. He did not know whether it was intentional, but he found Kingpin sitting inside, cutting into a steak.

"Ah, you finally came, Devil. I was wondering how long I would have to wait for you."

As he spoke, Kingpin used his fork to stuff a piece of meat into his mouth. After Matt sat down, he said coldly, "Is this what prison life is like for you, Fisk? It looks pretty good."

"Rikers Island Prison has never been the most comfortable prison, Devil."

"I heard things are quite nice over at Mansion Prison."

Kingpin laughed upon hearing that. "I am not like them, Devil. Neither Hammerhead nor Tombstone is an ordinary human. They have enjoyed plenty of privileges because of their superhuman status. Now, it is simply time for them to pay the price."

No matter what, Kingpin was just an ordinary human. He was not suited for a prison like Mansion Prison, which had been designed specifically for superpowered criminals.

Besides, that was not why he had summoned Matt this time. He had not called him here to discuss which prison he should be sent to.
