Because of "Elektra's" death, Matt would undoubtedly be grieving for several days. It would also lay the groundwork for his "dark turn." He couldn't decide to go dark the moment his wife died.
Honestly, if the Silver Samurai hadn't vanished and these Hydra people weren't running all over the place with the Norn Stone, last night would have been a perfect chance to wipe them all out. But not yet. Whether it was the Beast behind the Hand, the Norn Stone in their possession, or their method of moving silently throughout New York, all of it needed careful consideration. Otherwise, Peter wouldn't have come up with such a troublesome plan.
"What are you thinking about?"
Felicia leaned closer to Peter and asked. The question pulled him back to reality, and he quickly shook his head. "No, nothing. Nothing important."
"Is that so?"
Felicia raised an eyebrow. "But you should turn off the oven, or move aside. Those cookies are about to burn. If you don't want Aunt May scolding you, you'd better hurry."
Peter immediately fumbled to turn off the oven, then helped Felicia take out the cookies. It was rather strange, now that he thought about it. If the two of them wanted to meet, there were plenty of places they could have chosen, yet for some reason, Felicia had insisted on volunteering with Peter at The Charity Ball.
