It's the Wrecking Crew, Not a Demolition Team!

"Looks like I should be glad Banner wasn't here today. Otherwise, before Avengers Base is completed, we'd lose our only home too!"

Wearing his Iron Armor, Tony launched a furious assault on the four burly men. He had already confirmed that they possessed superhuman physical abilities, so he could turn up the power on his repulsors a little when firing at them.

But what Tony found even more ridiculous was that these guys had actually plugged a USB drive into the front desk receptionist's laptop and shouted, "The Avengers are finished!" Never mind whether there was anything useful on that drive—why would they think the Avengers' central system was connected to the receptionist's laptop?

Leading the charge was Wrecker, the leader of the villain group known as the Wrecking Crew. Wearing a hood like a bank robber and brandishing a crowbar everywhere, he was strong enough to flip a car with ease. Yet with a single leap, he was blasted away by Tony's palm repulsor.

Then Thunderball, the only member of the group with any ranged attacks—and also the only Black man on the team—hurled his weapon. A massive iron ball, the kind suspended by chains from construction cranes to smash down walls, flew toward Tony. If that over-one-ton iron ball hit Tony, he would definitely be smashed to pieces, but Tony immediately turned with the thrusters on his armor's back and dodged aside.

The iron ball instead smashed into the ceiling of Avengers Tower's lobby, prompting Tony to complain, "Hey! Do you know how long it'll take me to get the lobby ready to receive guests again after you smash it up?"

"I don't give a damn about any of that, Iron Man! Taste the might of the Wrecking Crew!"
