Tang Lan shook his head and took the little girl's hand. "It's nothing. Let's keep moving!"
The two walked through the stone cave, winding through twists and turns before quickly arriving before a massive Stone Gate.
Tang Lan looked around and unexpectedly found a tombstone beside the Stone Gate.
He stepped forward and saw an ancient inscription carved upon it: Nine Yue Longevity Grotto Heaven!
"Above the nine heavens lies the land of immortals; beneath the nine heavens lies the land of Hundred Yue."
As Tang Lan looked at the vigorous ancient script on the tombstone, he felt as though the words had carried him back to the other end of the River of Time.
"The Hundred Yue Kingdom of the Third Continent?"
"That's quite the claim. The one buried here must have been an important figure."
Tang Lan stepped closer and examined the tombstone from top to bottom, yet found neither a burial mound nor any sign of a grave.
This strange sight immediately aroused Tang Lan's curiosity.
"Huh, what is this?"
At that moment, Lingling suddenly leaned against the tombstone and examined an inconspicuous groove.
Tang Lan hurriedly looked over and discovered that the groove seemed to be meant for embedding something.
It was only as thick as a finger and appeared to be some sort of special mechanism.
"Stop!"
Seeing Lingling about to stick her finger into it, Tang Lan hurriedly called out to stop her.
However, it was clearly already too late.
The next moment, the entire tombstone suddenly erupted with golden light.
The danger Tang Lan had expected did not appear. Instead, the inscription on the tombstone seemed to come alive and quickly converged into several new lines.
"A heavenly calamity descended, Hundred Yue shattered. Neither living nor dead, forever fallen into the abyssal sea!"
