For the sake of the story as a whole, some interesting plotlines could only be shelved.

Artoria was absent-minded the whole way, seemingly lost in thought.
Rin Tohsaka put away the holy sword White had given her. It was a Mystic Code that could be stored away directly, then summoned whenever needed.
"Come to think of it—Saber, you know a lot about fairies too, right?"

Though still somewhat distracted, Artoria answered her question.
