And that was the end of the first episode.

But the plot of the second episode picked up immediately afterward.

During the first and second episodes, Mikoto had no intention of introducing the main storyline yet. Instead, she wanted the audience to gain a deeper understanding of this A Certain Scientific Railgun world on the IF Line.

The first episode had shown them espers, so naturally, the second episode would show them high technology.

Of course, this was not a purely slice-of-life story. It also continued the hidden storyline in subtle threads.

"Flying cars?"

"That's amazing."

"What kind of technology is that?"

"Well, Academy City's latest development."

"They can even achieve technology like this? Academy City... is incredible!"

"Saten, calm down. You're an Academy City student too!"

The second episode took place a day later.

Today was a day off.

So Mikoto brought Kuroko, Chunibyo Shirai, and Saten to Higgins's headquarters in Academy City.

"Consider it my thanks for accompanying me shopping before," Mikoto said. "So I invited everyone to try out the flying cars."

Higgins.

It was Mikoto's own company.

The name Higgins came from one of her Lacia cards. The Super AI Higgins was Lacia's creator.
