Athrun and Cagalli were piloting together. Both of them had the makings of commanders.
Normally, that meant their roles overlapped. But against Coordinators, it worked perfectly: two minds making decisions in tandem could throw off the enemy's ability to read them.
"But even if I can't read your minds, I'm a Coordinator! I'm still stronger than both of you!"
Shura, the white-haired man, wanted to prove himself by defeating the "strongest warrior."
"Infinite Justice is a two-person machine! What are you whining about?" Cagalli snapped over the open channel.
"A natural like you is nothing but dead weight! If anyone should fight at Athrun's side, it should be me!"
Shura paused after saying that. Then embarrassment turned to fury.
"I'm going to kill you both...!"
Shura charged at once, attacking Infinite Justice with even less restraint.
Meanwhile, Strike Freedom had no choice but to head toward the Millennium, where it came face-to-face with a group of black mobile suits...

Kira looked at the Black Knights ahead.
Something felt wrong. Their speed and power were clearly greater than before.
