It had been less than a minute since the flames went out, yet a fire truck and three police cars were already speeding toward them.
The speed at which they responded left Blondie and the man in the leather jacket caught off guard.
Their handling was also extremely swift and efficient. In just two or three minutes, they had the four of them leave.
"The local police are pretty fast when it comes to responding to calls and handling incidents. That guy was seriously unlucky. His perfectly good car just blew up like that."
Wanda spoke with lingering emotion.
Pietro, on the other hand, saw through the matter more clearly than Wanda.
"That guy's car was probably destroyed by Leo. And those police officers were probably already assigned to protect us, which is why they arrived so quickly."
"Really?"
Wanda looked at Leo in disbelief and asked.
"I didn't expect Pietro to be clever for once. Not bad. I only taught those two foul-mouthed guys a lesson. If the car was insured, they wouldn't suffer much loss. At most, they'd have to spend some time getting it repaired."

"Pietro, how did you know?" Wanda turned around and asked Pietro.
"Heh heh, I heard it from some of the local people nearby. The nearest police station and fire station are at least five minutes away by car. And I just heard someone say, 'Since they didn't take us away, let's go give a statement.'"
"So I figured those police officers must know us. Otherwise, the local legal system would be a little too lax, wouldn't it?"
