"Is something wrong?"
Stark looked at the dazed Pepper in confusion and asked.
"I think I may have a little bit of a lead, but I don't know if it's correct."
Pepper thought carefully for a moment before looking at Stark and speaking softly.
"What lead? What strange thing are you thinking about now?"
Stark asked in confusion. After all, he hadn't noticed anything wrong, or rather, he wasn't about to overturn the facts he had long accepted because of such a tiny clue.
"You said that the girl named Wanda and her brother Pietro lost their parents to a missile manufactured by Stark Industries, and that they were then trapped for two days and two nights by a dud missile, right?"
Hearing Pepper's question, Stark nodded solemnly.
Every time he brought up the matter again, he felt a dull ache in his heart.
When he shut down Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing division, he had been prepared to bear all of this and sever ties with his past self, taking responsibility for every mistake he had made.

"So Wanda was planning to kill you back then?"
