The Void Spirit Gold that had been able to charge about on its own in the image definitely had nothing to do with his Golden Core.
In other words, at some point later, the Void Spirit Gold had swallowed his Golden Core and sealed it away inside itself.

"Thor? Do you remember that Earth girl he brought to Asgard before? She sees things even more clearly than Thor does. Their lifespans
