Stark sat on the edge of the bed, trying to use a small mirror to look at the object in his chest.
Even in this dangerous situation, Yinsen continued whistling while cooking the porridge-like substance in the pot.
He leisurely placed the shrapnel he had removed into a small glass bottle and handed it to Tony.
He even told Stark, "There are many people like this in our village. We call them the living dead, because within a week, the shrapnel will enter their vital organs!"
Even those words failed to make the clueless Stark hear the sorrow in his voice.
"What is this?"
"An electromagnet! Connected to a car battery, it can stop the shrapnel from entering your heart! Hmm."
Stark's mind began racing as he analyzed everything around him and buttoned up the filthy shirt over his chest.
Yinsen, on the other hand, was wearing a complete suit. His bow tie was classic and perfectly neat, and a handkerchief even peeked out of his left pocket. In the incredibly dim cave, compared with Tony's wretched appearance, he looked like someone from an entirely different world.
Yet he taught Tony to look at the surveillance camera in the middle of the crisis. "That's more like it. Give me a smile."
This relaxed attitude even made Stark suspect that the man before him had been sent by his kidnappers.
"We've met before, at the Bern Technology Convention in Switzerland, in 1999."
"I don't remember."
"You definitely wouldn't remember. If I drank as much as you did, I wouldn't even be able to stand, let alone give a speech on integrated circuits!" A faint smile remained on Yinsen's face, giving Stark a little peace of mind.
Before he could finish speaking, shouting came from the entrance, and Yinsen instantly grew tense.
