A minute and a half later, Leo could already see the red-and-gold Iron Man ahead.
Two seconds later, the silver armor wrapped in Golden Light arrived beside the Mark III.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., connect me to Mr. Stark."
"Leo, what are you doing here? How did you do that?" Tony's astonished voice came through the headphones in less than a second.
"Mr. Stark, this is another one of my abilities. It was only awakened after the last incident. You know me—I like to keep a low profile."
Leo spoke to Tony through the headphones.
"Leo, this isn't a joke. I don't want to drag you into this. I can handle it alone."
Tony continued flying while staring straight ahead.
"They must have gone to Gemira because of Yinsen. Whether it's because of Yinsen or because of the Stark Industries weapons, I can't just stand by and do nothing."
"Then what do you want to do?" Leo asked. "Destroy my weapons."
"I'll go with you. This is the Mark III's first real combat test, and I don't want to miss it." Leo flew alongside Tony.
Tony said nothing, but his feelings for Leo deepened once more. Perhaps at this moment, Tony finally truly regarded Leo as a partner.
Flames shot from the Mark III's hands, accelerating it further. The air around the armor rippled violently, and an explosion rang out in midair.
The Mark III entered supersonic flight.
