Coulson drove his beloved Lola to the edge of a large parking lot and stopped, seemingly waiting for something.
Before long, another flashy black sports car drove over.
The two cars passed each other and stopped side by side.
The window rolled down, and Sitwell, a bald man wearing gold-rimmed glasses, leaned out to show his upper body as he looked at Coulson beside him.
"You should know that when people ask friends for help, they usually show some appreciation. For example, take me to an upscale restaurant or buy me a bottle of fine red wine."
"Want to hold hands and watch a movie? Fine, but I have to ask you a question first."
Coulson looked at Sitwell as he spoke. Sitwell was also a Level Eight agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Although the two of them did not interact often, they could still be considered acquaintances.
"I don't know where Director Fury is." Sitwell already knew what Coulson wanted to ask before Coulson could open his mouth, so he answered directly.
"Don't look so surprised. For someone as quiet as you, the commotion you caused this time wasn't small. How many favors did you cash in this time?" Sitwell asked as he looked at Coulson.
"Obviously, it still wasn't enough."
"All right, is there anything I can help you with?" Sitwell asked helplessly.
Coulson said nothing. He merely continued wearing that calm smile as he looked at Sitwell.
"At Fury's level, if he wants to disappear, you won't find him unless he wants to find you." Sitwell understood what Coulson meant and explained.
"You've done this sort of thing before too, remember? I haven't asked you yet—how is Tahiti?"
Sitwell stared at Coulson as he asked about it.
"Terrible!"
Coulson had not received the answer he wanted, so he immediately put on his sunglasses, started the car, and drove away.
Sitwell continued watching Coulson's back as he left until he had completely disappeared. Disappointment showed in his eyes, and he quietly left as well.
Everyone on Coulson's team except Coulson charged toward the Energy Convergence Point.
A convoy of S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles drove through the desert like this.
"Fitz?"
"We're getting closer and closer, but the readings aren't entirely reliable. After all, this is technology we don't fully understand yet."
Fitz held the detection equipment behind them and saw only that the energy response was growing stronger and stronger.
Ward said nothing, instead turning sideways to cautiously ask May, who was driving beside him, "Has Coulson talked to you yet? About why he suddenly doesn't want to inject Skye with the medicine?"
"No. He refuses to say." May replied coldly, making no comment on the matter.
"Energy surge detected—three times the previous level!" Fitz, who had been monitoring the detector, suddenly shouted.
Before May could speak, a rainbow-colored vortex suddenly appeared in the sky. A Rainbow Beam descended from above and shot straight down in front of the convoy.
As it stirred up clouds of dust, it also blocked the convoy's entire route.
When the beam dissipated, a huge Complex Circular Pattern appeared on the ground. Standing within it was a valiant female warrior holding a Sword and Shield.
With a sharp gaze and a blade in her hand, she slowly rose to her feet and looked at the vehicles stopped before her.
The guards who climbed out of the S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles also raised their guns and aimed them at the figure in the center.
Looking at the armor on the female warrior and her distinctive Metal Sword and Shield, Ward said directly, "She's definitely an Asgardian."
"Facial recognition in progress. Done, I found her. Her name is unknown, but we can confirm that she once fought alongside Thor and the others in Mexico. She's on our side."
Fitz quickly searched through the data from inside the vehicle as he spoke.
"Stand down. She isn't hostile." May hurriedly spoke to the other agents holding guns.
Sif saw the S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem on the vehicle and strode over. "Are you S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"Yes."
"I am Lady Sif of Asgard. Earth is facing a tremendous threat!" Sif looked at the people before her and spoke bluntly.
Sif followed Ward and the others back to the Airbus.
Coulson had already returned as well. He stood in a concealed spot, watching the lean and capable Sif.
"She's a warrior. I saw her fighting alongside Thor in Mexico. She climbed onto that enormous Killing Machine and pierced it with a spear. She's pretty impressive."
May, standing beside him, nodded as well.
"She says she needs S.H.I.E.L.D. to help her find someone. Can you handle it?"
"I'm fine!" Coulson looked at May with a smile.
"You don't look fine. You're often nowhere to be found. If something's troubling you, you can tell me." May took two steps toward Coulson and looked at him as she spoke.
Coulson smiled faintly and nodded. "I know."
The two of them walked over to Sif.
The moment Sif saw Coulson, she was shocked. Her right hand unconsciously closed around the hilt of her sword.
"What kind of Dark Magic is this? Thor said you died at Loki's hands!"
"He wasn't wrong. I was dead for a while. But Loki isn't the only one with special tricks. We have some too."
Coulson did not elaborate further on the matter.
Sif looked at Coulson. "Thor will be very happy to know you're alive. He considers you a friend."
"So do I. Therefore, if possible, I'd like to tell him myself."
Coulson smiled at Sif. "I heard you're looking for someone?"
"I'm hunting her—Lorelei! Six hundred years ago, she caused the Nine Realms Cataclysm with her ability. She commanded armies and overthrew kingdoms and monarchs."
Sif recalled the mission she had come down for. It was a task the All-Father Odin had entrusted to her, and she looked at Coulson solemnly as she spoke.
"What kind of ability does she have? Strength? Or speed?" Ward asked.
"Sorcery! She twists men's wills to achieve her goals." Sif explained.
"Men only?"
May asked after hearing that.
"Her sorcery has no effect on women. Men have an innate weakness that women don't." Sif seemed somewhat proud as she said this.
May also nodded slightly in agreement.
Fitz and Ward, standing to the side, muttered, "I really don't know what she's talking about."
"Her voice alone can subdue most men. For the few men who can resist the temptation, she combines her voice with touch, which is enough to destroy their willpower."
Sif knew Lorelei's abilities very well. She took a Dark Gold Collar from her waist.
"This can restrict her speech. She wore one of these for hundreds of years in prison. When the Dark Elves invaded Asgard, she escaped prison. Using Loki's secret passages connecting the various realms, she fled here."
"Do you know where she is?"
"I only know that the Bifrost sent me to the place where she last appeared." Sif looked at everyone as she spoke.
Coulson did not hesitate. After realizing how serious the matter was, he immediately said, "There are towns all around here. Start by investigating any unusual incidents within a radius of several hundred miles."
"If this woman once ruled an empire, then she definitely won't be easy to satisfy." Coulson said this.
