The stages of cosmic life could be divided into three kinds.
The first was the era of Primordial Gods and Demons.
During this period, the universe remained in primordial chaos, with most laws in disarray. By chance, soil and sand gained intelligence and became demons, forming the first batch of life in the universe. They were incomparably weak.
In later terms, primal matter had tainted them, causing the most ordinary soil and metal to gain sentience. Their bloodlines were the most commonplace and lowly. In later ages, even the strong would not be willing to use such inferior lifeforms as pages or servants.
The second stage was the stage of Acquired Lifeforms.
As the Primordial Gods and Demons completed the laws, the universe's environment became suitable for life to emerge. Perfect lifeforms of flesh, blood, and bloodlines were born. They were the Acquired Lifeforms.
The third stage was actually the stage of lifeforms of Chaos Heaven.
With the universe's laws completely perfected, the outside of Chaos Heaven became fully habitable. The Chaos Sea turned clear and orderly, and life began to emerge. "Hehehehe."
Watching those vast lifeforms vanish, Zhi Weng painfully closed his eyes and lowered his head to look at the shoreline. "The essence of the universe truly is a complete history of evolution. Nature in the Great Universe is evolving, and living creatures evolve along with their environment."
He raised his head and looked at Chaos Heaven's mist-shrouded sky. "In this vast age, the universe is developing, and extraordinary systems are changing as well."
"This is the cruel, bloody history!"
"I should have realized it long ago. As the laws were completed, Acquired Lifeforms appeared. Then when the laws were perfected once more, how could the next kind of lifeform not appear?"
