Some people said that the final passage of "Historical Records" yesterday would have been the perfect ending. That was indeed true; all the foreshadowing and hidden threads had already been resolved.
But before the story ended, I still wanted to write about new hope.
So I wrote three more chapters that symbolized new hope and chose to end it on November 1st.
From our perspective, the story had indeed ended. All the foreshadowing had been resolved. For me, too, it was an ending without uncertainty, a conclusion that had been destined all along.
But for the characters within the story, their world was still at a new beginning. Once everything became clear, it also meant lifeless stagnation, with nothing left to pursue. People must ultimately have new goals and new dreams, and still seek new things. So I added some future plans, allowing Xu Zhi and the others to serve as new sprouts and a new starting point. I had many feelings, but in truth, there was nothing much to say.
So I'll just ramble a little.
This story was about simulating an extraordinary cosmic sandbox: the tides of history, the advancement of eras through extraordinary systems, and an age of surging currents, colossal wheels, and shifting winds and clouds.
At its core, it was simply about fate, the greater trend, and the struggles of historical figures.
Ermin, Medusa, Dao Changsheng, Caroline, Yi Mang, Tu Xin, and even the Eternal Life Realm Master hidden behind the scenes—all of them had given everything and exhausted every method they possessed to fulfill the dreams they wanted.
