After retreating into the Rainforest, the Ninja Allied Forces broke up into scattered units and switched to guerrilla tactics. Things became just like before, turning into a game of hide-and-seek.

Their goal seemed to be keeping Konoha's main forces pinned down along the border.

She stationed the troops along the edge of the Rainforest, blocking the exits. At the same time, Mimi began an unceasing bombardment.

Trees could be replanted after they were gone. As for feeling distressed, there was at least a little of that.

Even in harsh environments, they could endure for an extremely long time by entering dormancy without eating or drinking.

At regular intervals, explosions rang out in succession throughout the Rainforest.

Blazing fires repeatedly spread, were extinguished by sudden downpours, and then ignited once more.

Sometimes they burned all night, lighting up the darkness.
