There Are Casualties

Light warped under the force field, clinging tightly to the outer shell of the spacetime ripples. As spacetime began to tremble, it trembled with it, spreading outward like a ball and locking firmly onto the earth below.

In theory, nothing on the ground could survive this devastating attack. Everything would be destroyed by it, even the solid earth itself.

The sphere of light rapidly expanded and advanced. In the blink of an eye, it swallowed the crimson sphere of light before it, like a cell engulfing a spore. Even after completely covering it, it continued silently advancing in all directions.

Beyond the edge, waves of earth rose like city walls, churning and crashing down repeatedly. Mixed with the trees covering the area around the village, they swept forward, flattening everything in their path.

"This is the power of the Rinnegan."

High in the sky outside the village, far from the exploding sphere of light, the Fourth Shadow watched the scene alongside the Explosion Corps.

"Konoha is finished," the Third Kazekage said, his voice filled with satisfaction.

"Just as planned. Once we reach the designated location, we'll clear out Konoha's trash, then..."

the Third Mizukage said.

"While we're winning, we'll capture the Tailed Beasts."

"The Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki isn't dead, is she?" the Fourth Raikage asked gruffly.

"No." The Third Earth Shadow panted. The earlier breakthrough had consumed quite a bit of his Chakra. He said, "Even under an attack like this, there should still be quite a few surviving ninjas."

As he spoke, the waves of earth came crashing down onto the ground. Mudslides spread in every direction. Amid the ruins covering the land, thunderous rumbling continued without end. As the billowing smoke gradually dispersed, a flash of crimson emerged from within it.

"Don't tell me..." The Third Kazekage's mocking laugh
