On the Douluo Continent, the sky had originally been bright and clear, with not a single cloud in sight. Yet in an instant, darkness shrouded it, blotting out the sun as though it intended to engulf the entire continent.
Everyone who witnessed this scene could not help but feel panic, fear, and terror rise from within. Drawn by an invisible force, the emotions released by the people flowed toward the darkened sky.
The darkness in the sky gradually began to rotate, forming a black vortex. From within it emanated auras of darkness, evil, loathing, hatred, slaughter, despair, jealousy, and fear.
Under the watchful eyes of the people, figures gradually emerged from the dark vortex and floated silently in midair. Only after the tenth figure stepped out did the vortex slowly close, vanishing completely in the end.
Though the faces of the ten figures in midair could not be seen clearly, they all shared one trait: six pairs of black wings grew from their backs.
Black light radiated from the bodies of the ten figures, dazzling and brilliant as it gradually gathered together. When the light reached its peak, the ten figures vanished, the darkness in the sky was dispersed, and sunlight once again illuminated the entire continent.
That dazzling light, however, streaked down in a certain direction before disappearing from sight...
Spirit City, Worship Hall. Qian Daoliu watched the vanished light in the sky, his brows furrowing tightly as he headed straight toward where the black light had fallen.
In a forest several hundred meters outside Spirit City stood an extremely concealed Secret Chamber. It was filled with boundless Evil Energy, and at its very front was a dark passage leading deep underground.
The black light rushed into the Secret Chamber and sped down the passageway, finally stopping before a Divine Statue that emanated Evil Energy. Seated cross-legged before the statue was a woman with fair skin and nearly flawless features.
The Evil Energy before the Divine Statue was so dense it had nearly condensed into mist. The light seemed to greatly enjoy the Evil Energy here and gradually began absorbing it.
As the black light absorbed the Evil Energy, the woman seated before the Divine Statue opened her eyes and looked directly at the light above.
A woman in a long black dress emerged from the Divine Statue. She had delicate features and jet-black hair cascading down her back. Looking at the light overhead, she chuckled. "What an interesting little fellow. Since you enjoy absorbing Evil Energy, I'll let you absorb your fill."
With a wave of her hand, the surrounding Evil Energy became even denser, surging wildly into the light. She then used her nails to cut a long wound across her arm. Golden blood continuously flowed from it, flying toward the light and being absorbed.
"What is that thing?" A somewhat hoarse voice sounded from beneath the Divine Statue.
"This is a very interesting little fellow, and you'll definitely like him. This little fellow is a genuine Fallen Angel, the natural mortal enemy of angels." Her voice carried a trace of excitement. As if she had thought of something, a faint smile appeared on her lips.
Time passed bit by bit, and an infant gradually appeared within the light. The wound on the woman's arm had already completely healed.
"Alright, this little fellow will be more than enough to give those two a headache. Just thinking about their headaches makes me so happy. I almost want to laugh. Pfft, hahaha..." Amid her laughter, the woman returned to the Divine Statue, and the surrounding Evil Energy gradually calmed.
The woman seated before the Divine Statue rose and walked over to the infant. She lifted him into her arms and examined him carefully. The infant had fair skin, delicate features, and a black Twelve-Winged Angel Mark on his forehead.
"They're both angels, so why do angels look so repulsive, while you, a Fallen Angel, look so pleasing? Especially that Evil Energy around you—it feels pleasant no matter how I look at it."
"From now on, you are the adopted son of Bibi Dong. Your name will be Bi Zihan. The mortal enemy of angels, a Fallen Angel, and you've absorbed so much Evil Energy and Divine Blood. Just how astonishing will your talent be in the future?" A faint smile appeared on Bibi Dong's nearly flawless face.
Bi Zihan seemed to understand Bibi Dong's words. He giggled and reached out to hug the arm she extended toward him.
After playing with Bi Zihan for a while, Bibi Dong carried him out of the Secret Chamber and headed straight toward Spirit City.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, six years had passed.
Within a luxurious residence in Spirit City, a boy dressed in exquisite black clothes lay atop an ancient tree. He used the dagger in his hand to peel a piece of fruit, then lifted the sliced fruit to his mouth with the dagger.
The boy had fair skin, delicate features, and long black hair cascading down his back. His eyes in particular gleamed like two black gemstones. At first glance, he looked like an oversized porcelain doll, adorably cute.
Yet a faintly wicked glint occasionally flashed through his eyes, making him impossible to forget after only one look.
The boy was called Bi Zihan. After Bibi Dong had adopted him six years ago, she had arranged for him to live in this courtyard, where maidservants attended to his daily needs. From time to time, Bibi Dong also came to teach him theoretical knowledge and combat experience.
Suddenly, Bi Zihan seemed to sense something. The dagger in his hand instantly slipped into his sleeve, and he leaped down from the ancient tree, landing steadily on the ground. He quickly reached a stone table, sat down, picked up a book from it, and pretended to read.
Soft footsteps approached. Bibi Dong slowly walked in through the gate, and when she saw Bi Zihan appearing to read so attentively, she could not help but shake her head with a smile.
The maidservant following behind Bibi Dong, however, was whispering something into her ear.
She actually tattled on me. Bi Zihan casually glanced at the whispering maidservant and silently grumbled.
But he quickly withdrew his gaze, putting on an exceptionally obedient expression as he occasionally turned a page in the book.
