Tang God King Who Understood the Greater Good (Seeking Investment! Seeking Monthly Ticket! Seeking Recommendation Ticket!)
The Eastsea City Mecha Association was a large organization that combined Designers, Manufacturers, and repair technicians, and was also known as the Soul Guidance Association. It was said that thousands of years ago, all three professions had belonged to Soul Masters. Only with the development of soul-guided mechas and Battle Armor were they subdivided into the three professions of Designer, Manufacturer, and repair technician.
The Eastsea City Mecha Association was very close to Eastsea Academy. It had three buildings, each around thirty stories tall. Since the first through seventh floors of the three buildings were connected, only separating above the eighth floor, the structures looked like a plug when viewed from above. Thus, Eastsea residents jokingly called it the "Big Plug."
Of course, the people from the Mecha Association refused to acknowledge that name. They called it the "Trident."
Jing Shaoyu strode into the first-floor lobby of the "Big Plug"—oh, no, the "Trident"—with practiced ease. After showing his Designer badge to the receptionist, he walked straight into the elevator under her infatuated gaze.
At the same time, as Jing Shaoyu entered the Mecha Association, a great battle was about to erupt in East Sea Park not far away.
Jing Shaoyu's unexpected intrusion had not changed Tang Wulin and Xie Xie's arranged fight. However, as they fought, a group of somewhat strange people watched everything unfold. They did not seem particularly concerned about the children's scuffle, until...
"Master, are you truly not going to reconsider?" asked a handsome young man with black hair and golden-highlighted bangs, his expression respectful.
The one he called Master was actually a little girl. She looked about the same age as Tang Wulin and Xie Xie. Dressed in white clothes and white trousers, with long black hair and black eyes, she had a well-proportioned figure and delicate features. She was the type who seemed ordinary at first glance, yet grew more captivating the longer one looked at her. She possessed an elegant, orchid-like aura, as though she belonged in a secluded valley, making her unforgettable to anyone who saw her.
Her large eyes were clear and lively, yet her voice was indifferent and devoid of emotion. "There is no need. This is a wager between her and me. You need not worry."
"But..." A beautiful woman with green hair and an azure dress wanted to say something, but the black-clad youth raised a hand to stop her. He shook his head, his golden eyes filled with helplessness and self-reproach. Seeing this, the woman could only fall silent.
In the distance, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were already locked in a fierce battle. Xie Xie's Light Dragon Dagger stabbed into Tang Wulin's arm. Then, a piercing Dragon's Roar rang out, and a dazzling golden light burst forth. The sudden phenomenon stunned Xie Xie and alarmed the White-clad Girl's group.
"..." The girl's delicate body trembled. Excitement first flashed across her face, followed by disbelief, then sorrow, and finally indifference. Her voice shook slightly as she said, "...It is his aura! He... has ultimately fallen!"
"Master!" The black-clad youth shouted at the girl, shocked and furious.
The girl naturally understood what he was thinking. Thought flickered in her icy gaze before she slowly nodded. "Xiong Da, go test him."
"Yes, Master!" A burly bald man immediately answered excitedly. A cruel, bloodthirsty expression flashed over his face, and he vanished from the spot in an instant.
In the distance, the Gold Dragon King Essence within Tang Wulin had been stimulated by Xie Xie's Light Dragon Dagger. He sent Xie Xie flying again with a punch, then dropped to one knee, his mind in utter chaos. A ferocious-looking man suddenly appeared before him, and immediately afterward, a giant claw that shattered space came crashing down at him.
Just as Tang Wulin was about to die beneath that enormous claw, a Blue-Gold trident rune suddenly lit up on his forehead. Then, a majestic and cold voice rang out. "Hmph!"
That seemingly faint snort alone sent the burly man staggering back dozens of steps. Before he even had time to be astonished, he felt an incomparably terrifying pressure sweep toward him. He let out a muffled groan, then threw back his head and roared. His body rapidly expanded, until he transformed into a Dark Gold Giant Bear thirty meters tall.
As for Tang Wulin, he seemed like an entirely different person. He slowly rose to his feet, the trident rune on his forehead flickering. His eyes were calm and profound, like the surging tides of the sea. Though his body was small, it gave the giant bear the pressure of standing before an Abyss.
"Y-you, who are you?" the giant bear demanded in human speech, filled with terror.
"Retreat at once, or die!" Tang Wulin spoke. His voice had changed, becoming incomparably cold and devoid of the slightest emotion. Blue radiance occasionally spilled from the corners of his eyes. His words sounded both like a threat and a warning.
As his words fell, several more figures appeared before Tang Wulin. At their head was the black-clad youth.
The black-clad youth stared at Tang Wulin warily. When his gaze landed on the trident pattern between Tang Wulin's brows, his pupils suddenly contracted. He blurted out, "It's you?!"
"Leave now, and I may preserve the last inheritance of the soul beast race. Otherwise, you have chosen the path of death!" Tang Wulin said, his eyes deep and his tone indifferent.
"Arrogant!" the black-clad youth said furiously. "What belongs to our soul beast race will eventually be reclaimed by our own hands! And you are merely a strand of Divine Sense. So what if we destroy you?"
As he spoke, the black-clad youth suddenly struck out with his palm at Tang Wulin. That seemingly ordinary palm strike transformed directly into an ink-black dragon claw, descending toward Tang Wulin with the intent to kill! "Insolence!" Tang Wulin shouted angrily. The trident rune on his forehead blazed brightly, and a golden trident appeared out of thin air, instantly striking the dragon claw reaching for him.
"Clang—" An incomparably clear sound rippled outward, but before it could travel three meters, it was completely absorbed by a Blue-Gold ring of light that appeared from nowhere. Thanks to that Blue-Gold ring, such a tremendous disturbance in East Sea Park drew no attention. In fact, throughout the entire park, only the people beneath an ancient tree in the distance saw it.
Beneath that ancient tree, the girl and the Green-haired Woman watched everything. The girl's face remained expressionless, her gaze calm, but her slightly clenched little fists revealed the turmoil in her heart.
She was certain now. He was dead, and his essence bloodline and God Core had even been sealed within that child's body! Heh, what meticulous planning!
The girl sneered inwardly and turned to leave.
The Green-haired Woman followed closely behind her.
On the other side, after the Golden Trident collided with the Black Dragon Claw, the group led by the black-clad youth also vanished from where they stood. Only Xie Xie, unconscious on the ground, and Tang Wulin, standing there with unsteady breathing, remained.
"Damn it!" A trace of gloom flashed through Tang Wulin's profound eyes as he said coldly, "If not for the fact that I only have three chances to act, if not for the grand plan I have laid out over ten thousand years, if not for my true body being unable to descend! Damn it! Now, only one of those three chances remains. I cannot act again!"
As he spoke, Tang Wulin—or rather, the Divine Sense controlling Tang Wulin's body—closed his eyes and began contacting his father, who had become the master of the Douluo Plane, and his mother, who had become the Planet Core. He wanted them to look after their poor grandson.
However...
"What is going on? What is going on?"
He shouted in exasperation, because he discovered in horror that he could not contact his parents. How was that possible? It would have been understandable if only his father, Tang Hao, could not be reached. After all, Tang Hao himself was unreliable, and occasionally losing contact was nothing unusual. But why could he not reach his mother either? Could it be that his mother had Sacrificed herself for his father again? Great God King Tang nearly broke down.
Naturally, he did not know that when he had sent Tang Wulin down from the Divine Realm to Douluo Continent, his pair of troublesome parents had suffered a backlash. They were currently in seclusion recovering from their injuries. Where would they find the time to help him look after a child?
Speaking of which, he himself had contributed to that situation.
Jing Shaoyu knew nothing about what had happened in East Sea Park. At this moment, he had no idea how enormous an impact this incident would have on the future.
However, he was currently in a room on the eighteenth floor of the Designer Building, refining his blueprint design. The window in that room happened to overlook East Sea Park. A strange feeling arose in his heart, and he subconsciously looked toward the park through the window. Yet aside from the lush, dense woods, he saw nothing.
"Heh!" His inexplicable action amused him. He shook his head, then focused once more on the blueprint in his hands.
On the ground below, where Jing Shaoyu could not see, Tang Wulin climbed up from the ground. He looked blankly at the messy surroundings, then at Xie Xie lying not far away, utterly bewildered.
