Meanwhile, Barney led his people into the village to talk with the locals. After speaking with them, his men began disguising themselves in different parts of the village. They also instructed the women that if they spotted the enemy approaching, they were to follow their arrangements.
These women had never had much of an opinion to begin with. Now that they saw these soldiers, they naturally listened to them completely.
Not long after the preparations were complete, Er Dan's Active Warning System issued an alert.
"Commander, the enemy has three trucks carrying a total of forty-two bandits heading in this direction."
Jiang Yan Hai immediately prepared himself mentally. The others did not need his warning, either. They had observation posts in place, and those posts would probably spot the enemy soon enough.
Sure enough, not long after that, White Headed Eagle's voice rang out from the rooftop. "Everyone, attention. The enemy's three trucks are heading for the village. They have indeed split up and are taking three separate roads."
The Blood Wolf members were not surprised. They had already become numb to this sort of thing. Back when they had been with Jiang Yan Hai at Ma Yun Fei's place, they had already gotten used to it. Wasn't this kind of performance perfectly normal by now?
