Black Lion and the others quickly disengaged from the battle and caught up.
After leaving the city safely, Jiang Yan Hai fell into thought. Conducting new-material research here was not the optimal choice at all, so this had to be a trap.
Or rather, it could not exactly be called a trap. It was merely a false target meant to draw attention. Someone else might have thought their intelligence was wrong, since they had not managed to uncover much information about this place before.
But Jiang Yan Hai did not see it that way. Sandstorm had gone to such great lengths to stir up trouble outside just to attract attention, and now they were saying the result was merely research into new materials?
More importantly, if they were only researching new materials, Sandstorm had countless legitimate companies outside. Those companies could openly invest in such research. Why go to the trouble of something this difficult?
Who were they trying to fool?
So the question was, where was their research facility?
Jiang Yan Hai's mind raced. Research of this kind required considerable logistics, as well as many scientists, so they could not possibly be located somewhere out in the wilderness—the wilderness of Africa...
Logistics alone would be enough to cripple them. Therefore, their research had to be located somewhere resembling a town or city. Of course, it definitely could not be in this city, which was not very large to begin with.
But if there was another secret research facility, it would be easy for it to be exposed.
"Ramsey, we'll head back in about an hour. I'll have someone send you some information. Look into where the trucks delivering supplies to that research base ended up each day," Jiang Yan Hai said through his earpiece.
