"No one had used it before. You could give it a try." The sergeant pushed the case over.
Jiang Yan Hai opened the case in front of him. A completely disassembled Sniper Rifle lay inside, the scent of gun oil still strong. But to soldiers, such smells were already deeply familiar.
Without ceremony, he picked up the parts and swiftly began assembling it.
"Click." "Click." Crisp assembly sounds rang out in rapid succession. In less than forty seconds, a fierce-looking Sniper Rifle appeared before everyone.
"Mm, not bad." Jiang Yan Hai's Advanced Scanning Program had already finished scanning it. The rifle had been well maintained and had no issues whatsoever.
"Ammunition." The sergeant smiled, then went inside and carried out six specially made ammunition cases. There were six types of rounds in total: standard rounds, Armor-piercing shell, Explosive rounds, Armor-piercing explosive rounds, Armor-piercing incendiary rounds, and Armor-piercing tracer rounds.
The last two were actually special-purpose rounds. Armor-piercing incendiary rounds, for example, could not burn as fiercely as missiles or anything similar, but they could still be used to ignite certain special objects that needed setting ablaze.
Explosive rounds could actually accomplish that as well. Their other purpose was to mark targets during nighttime operations. Once a target area began burning, it became an extremely obvious target at night, no matter what it was.
As for Tracer rounds, there was no need to explain. They could be used to correct trajectories and had many other functions. In the Ammunition Belts of some machine guns, whether by day or night, one out of every ten bullets was generally a Tracer round. That was why many machine guns looked especially beautiful when firing at night.
"What about scopes? Do you want a White Light Scope, a Night Vision Scope, or an Infrared Scope?"
