Blade and the others fell silent. Though no one said anything, none of them felt good about it. That decision might have been Bandage's, but all of them had agreed to it. If they were talking about responsibility, every one of them bore some.
Still, even if that was true, Bandage was undoubtedly the one on the verge of breaking down. He shot to his feet and roared, "I don't care! I don't believe it! I won't believe it!"
"Bandage!" Hu Tian rose to his feet and barked sharply.
"Old Cat will be fine. You're lying to us, aren't you?" Bandage ignored Hu Tian and rushed straight at Jiang Yan Hai, grabbing his collar with both hands and hauling him up from the ground.
Jiang Yan Hai did not resist, rising from the ground with the force of Bandage's pull.
"Are you lying to us? Say something!" Bandage shouted.
Jiang Yan Hai showed little expression. He gave him a flat look, then lowered his gaze to the hands clutching his collar.
"Bandage!" Hu Tian and the others beside them all stood up. Hu Tian gave a low shout.
"Stay out of this!" Bandage roared. Jiang Yan Hai's Advanced Scanning System confirmed that his emotional state was clearly abnormal.
But that was no reason for Jiang Yan Hai to indulge him. After a brief pause, he suddenly raised both hands, threaded them between Bandage's arms, and instantly broke free of his grip. Then, with a bang, Jiang Yan Hai drove a punch into him, sending him staggering back several steps.
Then a trace of contempt appeared on Jiang Yan Hai's face. He snorted coldly. "Coward!"
"I'm not a coward!" Bandage spat out blood from Jiang Yan Hai's punch. Jiang Yan Hai had held back, too. Roaring, Bandage scrambled up from the
