These flames were not particularly fierce, but they almost instantly blanketed a terrifyingly large area. Then came the second shell, then the third, and the entire valley was instantly engulfed by countless flames.
Incendiary shells? A thought surfaced in Commander Lin's mind. He had come up with the name himself based on the type of shell.
But he quickly realized something was wrong. Through the binoculars in his hands, he saw a living Taotie catch fire. As it ran about wildly and bumped into other Taotie, the flames seemed contagious, immediately starting to burn on the other Taotie's body as well—and growing larger and larger.
And why were some of these flames falling onto rocks, yet still continuing to burn?
Commander Lin was stunned. He could understand flames burning atop Taotie corpses. He could even understand flames that set living Taotie ablaze and could not be extinguished even when they rolled on the ground. But why did the flames continue burning even on stone?
Since when could stone burn?
The entire valley had been completely cut off by flames. Towering fire blocked a considerable stretch of the valley. Jiang Yan Hai watched silently. That was right—this was not a Thermobaric Bomb, nor was it napalm. It was a specially enhanced version of a White Phosphorus Incendiary!
Though it was not violent, it clung like a parasite to the bone. Once it touched something, it was nearly impossible to extinguish, because it did not need air to burn! It could still burn underwater, and it could still burn tenaciously even when buried beneath sand and dirt!
Its temperature could exceed 1,000 degrees Celsius. Nothing could stop it from burning.
Commander Lin stared blankly at the scene before him, watching the raging flames madly consume everything around them. With enough corpses beneath
