Back when television stations aired it, this was the standard television test signal: color blocks, alternating dense and sparse stripes, frame lines, and circles. It was something from the past, something many people no longer even knew existed, yet now they were seeing it again.
There was also a countdown on the test screen. In about five minutes, at 6:50 p.m., the first official television program would begin.
Even though it was only a still image, Yang Wen did not take his eyes off it. He said to Scorpion, "Brother, why are those scientists so amazing? How can they send images to all of us from so far away?"
"I don't know," Scorpion said with a smile. Of course he knew, but he could not explain it. Even if he tried, he would not be able to make it clear.

All three of their children attended school. Since they lived far from the school, the children could only come home once a week. Naturally, they were not home today.
