"Are you leaving this city too?"
Joshua controlled the orange cat as it sat on the long table, staring at the two wild bosses in front of it.
Joshua had not expected Ember to come looking for him so quickly. Lietta had merely been brought along on the way.
Neither of the two Gray Mist Sources was in very good condition. Ember's body had already become semi-transparent, as though she might disappear at any moment.
Lietta was doing better... at least she was currently working hard to clear a pixel game called Adventures Island.
"Too?"
Ember's figure was hidden beneath her hood, but even the hood could not conceal the semi-transparent state of her chin.
Before coming to the Sewing Gang's headquarters, Ember had already thought everything through. She had not let go of her hatred for her eldest sister.
But if she and Lietta remained in this city, their existence would sooner or later vanish completely. She had to leave her eldest sister's territory and search for another opportunity.
When Ember came to find the orange cat, its attitude suggested that quite a few people wanted to leave the city.
"Did your assassination fail?" the orange cat suddenly asked an unrelated question.
"That has nothing to do with you."
Ember still did not understand what sort of attitude one should have when asking someone—or rather, a cat—for help.
The orange cat raised one tiny paw and gave it a gentle wave. The hood over Ember's head instantly slipped off. Ember hurriedly tried to pull it back up, but after realizing it was pointless, she gradually gave up.
"So the gathering of gray mist earlier really was caused by you. The reason you've become semi-transparent... is that the energy in your body was absorbed by some eldest sister or elder
