On the battlefield outside Black Shell City, Nogs crushed a monster's head with his bare hand. Its headless body collapsed at his feet.
A great number of monster corpses had already piled up around Nogs, and his black armor was stained with blood that was almost grayish-blue.
When Nogs had first received Joshua's invitation, he had actually refused it.
Even though relations between the Demon Realm and Frost Country had eased, Nogs had no desire to stand on the same front line as Frost Country's soldiers.
But Joshua had given him a reason he could not refuse—or rather... a rather good suggestion.
"The Frost Country soldiers are in charge of defense. If you want, Brother, you can try attacking. This continent is the true base of the Gray Mist. Don't you want to personally take the enemy commander's head?"
After giving it some careful thought, Nogs found nothing wrong with that.
The walls of Black Shell City had already been occupied by Frost Country's soldiers, even though their duty was to defend.
But leaving former enemies behind him and being watched by them on the battlefield... made Nogs extremely displeased.
What truly angered Nogs, as expected, were these creatures formed from Gray Mist.
There was also a garrison stationed in Black Shell City. If Frost Country's soldiers tried anything against the demon soldiers, Nogs could react immediately.
"Any more?"
The one Nogs had personally killed just now had been the last monster remaining on the plains.
Yet the Gray Mist showed no signs of dissipating. Boiling gray liquid spread across the ground once again, gradually forming swarms of monsters.
"Your Highness... the soldiers under your command are already exhausted. We should return to camp and rest for a while."
