A mass of twisted, mutated monsters surrounded him. This was already his one hundred and seventy-second resurrection.
Behemoth raised his head and looked at the black figure emerging behind the monsters.
"Looks like the wonderful time is over. Next time... next time, I'll make you sleep forever."
Behemoth did not answer the black figure. He stroked the raptor, whose life was nearing its end, with his aged hand.
The final scene was the surrounding monsters swarming forward, tearing both him and the raptor into pieces.
When he came back to his senses again, he had finally awakened from that long nightmare. A crowd had already gathered around Behemoth's throne.
"Your Majesty! You're awake!"
The woman who had remained at Behemoth's side cried out excitedly when she saw him open his eyes.

This sight made the surrounding ministers quickly retreat, as if some force they feared had accumulated within the aged king.
Behemoth, whose human name was Lymons, was the pillar supporting the entire Coastal Country. The power he possessed was enough to deter the surrounding nations.
So long as this king took action, the human rebellion in Coastal Country could be easily resolved.
In the ministers' eyes, their king was like a savior—perhaps even a god.
