"I should congratulate you first."
When Herolia saw Joshua throw out another tile, she immediately chose to claim it with a concealed kong.
"Congratulate me for what?" Joshua looked at Herolia's side of the table. She had already made two concealed kongs.
"You killed a messenger. That was something I could never have imagined in the past, yet you proved it could be done."
Herolia did not care that Shael and Galolie were sitting nearby. There was no need to hide this information. After all, Herolia knew these two were heroes who had personally killed messengers... it was simply that nobody else knew.
"Killing Lord of Gray Mist was actually pretty easy."
When it was Galolie's turn, she drew a tile. It did not look like a good one, so she tossed it out immediately.
"Easy... is it? With such an enormous amount of World Tree energy supporting you, killing a messenger certainly is easy."
"Don't tell me you're about to say the one we killed... was only the weakest of the Four Heavenly Kings?" From Herolia's tone, Joshua could practically hear her announcing a Behind the Scenes BOSS.
"The Four Heavenly Kings. That truly is a Joshua-style description. Hatred was not the weakest among the messengers, but he was not the strongest either... His duty was invasion, invading our world from the continent I mentioned."
"Hatred's failure is a signal... Their pace of invasion will likely accelerate from now on, and also..."
Herolia glanced at the tile Joshua had discarded, then drew one herself. What she drew was a one bamboo...
With her current hand, she could have declared victory and won the round immediately. But Herolia was waiting... She wanted a bigger win.
"Joshua... they will make you their target." Herolia discarded the one bamboo as she spoke.
