Joshua had spent nearly five days preparing for this expo. During those five days... he had spent a great deal of time arranging the layout of the Crystal Palace's gaming area.
Back on Earth, Joshua had attended quite a few large-scale gaming expos. Their content was usually nothing more than major companies making grand promises and offering all kinds of new demos.
This World Culture Expo had only one gaming guild—Joshua's—but he had still brought out several brand-new playable demos.
As for making grand promises, that was Joshua's specialty. Even though he had not yet planted the wheat needed to make the pie, that did not stop him from drawing everyone a fragrant, sweet pie at the expo.
Before making those promises, Joshua needed to settle the Mahjong wager from five days ago.
When Ciri had driven Joshua away from the Mahjong table five days earlier, he had been on the verge of losing everything. Yet Ciri had forcibly pulled his score back up for him.
In the end... the Frost Owl declared defeat and, with no other choice, humiliatingly accepted the wager she had lost.

Shael was holding up a long dress for everyone to see. Everyone here included all those who had played Mahjong together earlier.
"You can try it on," Joshua suggested.
So Shael took the dress into the changing room and began getting changed.
This was the changing room Madam Si had specially prepared in the Crystal Palace's Falosi district, so it was as luxurious as ever.
"This king looks quite happy," Joshua sighed softly. Shael was supposedly being punished for losing, but judging by how cheerful he looked, there was no joy in this punishment at all.
Thinking of that, Joshua secretly glanced at Messiah, who was standing beside Herolia.
