When Alice asked the question, she looked hopefully at Cattleya, the Hermit.
If anyone at this Tarot Club meeting knew what that vague description referred to, it was probably the Hermit.
But Cattleya disappointed her this time. Under Alice's expectant gaze, she shook her head and said:
"I've never heard of it."
Alice looked away and glanced around the table. Apart from Emlyn, the Moon, and Derrick, the Sun, who offered to check their records, everyone said they didn't know.
Alice sighed and shook her head.
"Forget it. I won't make things difficult for you... It's a demigod-level material. It's only natural you haven't heard of it."
No one spoke. Only Cattleya glanced at her, then looked away again, as though she had something she wanted to ask.
"What do you want to ask?" Alice said to her.
Cattleya cautiously glanced at Klein in the gray fog before answering nervously:
"No, I'm just a little puzzled...
"Why don't you ask Mr. Fool?"
Cattleya had wondered about this for a long time.
Even earlier, she had suspected that, in Alice's eyes, the World might be equivalent to Mr. Fool in some sense. But she hadn't dared to pursue the thought and could only bury it.
Later, Alice's words and behavior made Cattleya feel that the World and the Fool were separate after all. They didn't seem to be the same person, and the idea gradually faded.
It was only Alice's questions at the last few meetings that made Cattleya suspicious again.
The knowledge Miss Fortune sought didn't seem especially secret. Even if knowledge wasn't among Mr. Fool's powers, surely he shouldn't have to watch Miss Fortune ask around like a headless chicken?
That sounded rather pitiful. Besides, judging by the past, Mr. Fool had at least been open with Miss Fortune
