The surroundings were utterly silent. Not long after Klein and his two marionettes stayed together, he realized the greatest anomaly here.
—It was too quiet.
Klein remained where he was, cautious and uneasy. The thought of fleeing surfaced in his mind. Besides, he had not come here without gaining anything; at the very least, he had tested the effects on his various abilities.
The more he thought about it, the more tempted he became. Klein reached out and grabbed his two marionettes, just about to leave like that when a tremendous sound suddenly shattered the surrounding silence.
Clang!
Clang! Clang!
The sound was heavy and crisp, as if someone were striking metal with great force.
Klein temporarily gave up on leaving. After listening carefully for two seconds, he had Enzo the "Winner" set down the heavy golden disk and walk toward a broken tombstone not far away.
That half-tombstone corresponded to a structure extending underground. Written on it in the Language of the Dead were the words:
"A fellow easily angered, who died six times from comparing the hardness of his head with other people's iron hammers."
Enzo the "Winner" went around the broken tombstone and reached the entrance of the mausoleum-like structure. He extended his left palm, twisted the handle, and forcefully pulled open the room door.
Amid the creaking sound of rust breaking apart, the heavy doors slowly swung open.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Arrows formed from pale radiance flew out!
They brushed past Enzo's face, the top of his head, torso, and inner thigh before flying into the distance, embedding themselves in the ground and disappearing. Yet the "Winner" remained completely unharmed.
...I have to admit, a marionette like this is simply a divine artifact for exploration and adventure... Klein sincerely sighed, having Enzo turn his gaze toward
