At dusk, Meager Manor hosted a barbecue feast. After Klein told Alice that everyone else had stopped speculating about their relationship, Alice chose to join the feast.
She soon joined a group of children around ten years old. After introducing games such as "Dropping the Handkerchief" and "Eagle Catching Chicks," she was successfully elected their leader.
When Arianna arrived, Alice was playing the mother hen, leading a group of chicks in evading the eagle's pursuit.
She spread her arms and led the children in darting and dodging. The abilities provided by the "Robot" had never felt so natural. Alice believed she would become the finest mother hen of the night!
Then Arianna arrived.
Alice, who had been playing the mother hen, had no choice but to abandon her little followers. In fact, no one had called for her, but she felt that not going over to take a look would be improper.
