Alice scooped up a handful of water from the River of Fate, filled with anger toward the "Key of Light."
Klein found it quite novel. It was a handful of silvery, shimmering liquid. It was not transparent, but when viewed up close, several scenes from the future could be seen within it.
"It looks a lot like the blood from before..." Klein remarked.
Alice did not respond. She separated the river water drop by drop, then told Klein, who was watching expectantly:
"Even if you look at me like that, I won't let you profit off the price difference.
"I want to see your messenger."
Klein had no choice but to give up on that expectation. After making the charm, he blew the silent harmonica. Reinette Tinekerr answered the summons and appeared. Upon seeing Alice, she stopped where she was and did not speak.
Alice asked:

Besides, I really can pull out three different projections... Forget it. That would be too offensive.
Being an adult who considered the consequences, Klein did not do so despite his temptation. He merely listened as Alice continued asking:

Klein answered in his heart but did not speak. Instead, Reinette took the initiative:
