Ch. 657Tricking Kids

Alice recruited Derrick to help arrange an early expedition into the Giant King's Court, promising him a method to digest his Potion and a role as Mr. Fool’s Oracle. She left Derrick to persuade Chief Colin Iliad while she planned to coordinate with Klein, who remained hidden in the Historical Void.

  • Alice found Derrick at the City of Silver’s Training Ground and asked when its people would next open the door in the Giant King’s Court.
  • Derrick said the Chief would likely wait until he advanced to Demigod, so Alice offered a Potion digestion method in exchange for urging the expedition forward and bringing her and The World along.
  • Derrick hesitated when Alice asked him to impersonate the White Angel under the Creator, so she instead proposed making him Mr. Fool’s Oracle for a purification ritual.
  • Alice told Derrick that The World was only about 1.7 meters tall and did not like drinking milk, leaving Derrick confused about the point of the information.
  • Alice checked Klein’s location, cursed him for staying in the Historical Void, and told Derrick to speak with Colin Iliad while she discussed the plan with The World.
  • Alice joked that Derrick should request fifty days off and described fried chicken as a mysterious Outside World ritual, and Derrick began to look forward to it.

Ch. 658Another Possibility

Alice persuaded Klein to involve his Oracle in the Forsaken Land of the Gods and warned him that Amon might pursue Kotar and seek the first Blasphemy Slate. She revealed that the world’s three greatest sources of corruption were on the moon, underground, and in Sefirah Castle, then explained how Kotar had borne the corruption tied to Klein’s arrival.

  • Alice told Klein she had found him another Oracle and urged him to hold a Sacrifice Ritual and Purification, while she wanted Sun to act sooner.
  • Klein agreed to bring Sun to Sefirah Castle and handle Moon City, but worried that Amon might find Kotar first.
  • Alice considered that Amon might use Mr. Door as another path to godhood and concluded she might have to fight Amon over the first Blasphemy Slate.
  • Alice told Klein that the three greatest sources of corruption were on the moon, underground, and in Sefirah Castle, and that corruption from the moon affected Mr. Door and Emperor Roselle.
  • Alice explained that the Goddess had caused Kotar to bear the consequences of Klein’s arrival, and Klein disputed her claim that he was now getting rid of Kotar after using him.

Ch. 659A New Mr. World

Klein and Alice prepared to bring Derrick to Moon City, where the residents planned a mass and wanted Klein to visit those unable to travel. As they arranged the expedition and Derrick's role as Mr. Fool's Divine Emissary, Alice revealed that the Sun had become the new Sun after the old one fell, leaving Derrick shaken and eager to emulate Klein.

  • Derrick told Colin Iliad that Alice wanted him to serve as Mr. Fool's Divine Emissary and explore the Giant King's Court after becoming a Demigod; Colin prayed to confirm the plan, and Klein reassured him that Mr. Fool trusted Alice.
  • Moon City residents invited Klein to visit their city and preside over a mass, and Klein agreed to meet them the following day when Alice returned.
  • Alice brought Derrick to Klein, destroyed Klein's Historical Projection, and introduced him as Merlin Hermes, the new Mr. World; Klein then demonstrated his Gehrman Sparrow identity.
  • Klein used a Historical Projection to provide Derrick with tableware and coached him on how to act during their visit to Moon City, while Alice teased them about the Angel of Purity.
  • Alice told Derrick that the Sun was the new Sun and had gnawed on the Creator's corpse, then revealed that Klein had divined Him; Klein warned Derrick that the divination had nearly killed him.
  • Alice complained that Storm and Blazing Sun had refused to provide Beyonder Characteristics while Wisdom had sent them without being asked, and suggested that Klein encourage Mr. Fool to take revenge.

Ch. 660Praise the Divine Emissary!

Alice, Klein, and Derrick returned to Moon City, where Derrick helped purify its residents and Alice turned the welcome into an embarrassing celebration for Klein. After Nim asked Klein for The Fool’s complete Honorific Name, Alice admitted she wanted followers whose faith would never change, despite knowing that such loyalty was impossible.

  • Alice introduced Derrick to High Priest Nim as another Divine Emissary, and Nim explained that the Moon City residents had been purified and treated.
  • Nim led Alice, Klein, and Derrick into Moon City, where Klein agreed to lead the ceremony and Derrick helped purify the remaining residents.
  • Alice started a celebration by tossing Klein into the air, and the Moon City residents joined in until Klein’s Marionettes rescued him.
  • Nim calmed the crowd, thanked Klein, and asked him to reveal The Fool’s complete Honorific Name.
  • Alice told Klein she wanted followers who would never betray her, then wondered whether that desire resembled what He wanted.

Ch. 661Research Seminar

Klein and Alice prepared for Klein to travel to North City, then the Tarot Club discussed how to find and hunt Kotar. The meeting ended with Alice wondering whether she would still be trapped in the Forsaken Land of the Gods when a god died and asking Cattleya about Frank’s experiments.

  • Alice agreed to take Derrick away while Klein prepared to travel to North City with the Staff of Stars, and Klein considered ways to survive an encounter with Amon.
  • At the Tarot Club meeting, The World asked Leonard and Cattleya to obtain demigod-level charms from Leonard’s contact and Queen Mystic.
  • The Tarot Club members discussed Kotar’s caution, advancement ritual, Honorific Name, and possible ways to locate him, while Alice warned Klein against attracting Amon.
  • The World asked Fors for help returning to Backlund, and the members shared updates about the war.
  • Alice wondered whether she would still be in the Forsaken Land of the Gods when a god died, then asked Cattleya about Frank’s experiments.

Ch. 662North City

Alice learned that Frank was preparing to advance while working with Sharpe, a troubled follower of the Primordial Moon, and arranged for them to be separated. She then set out with Derrick to visit another city in the Forsaken Land, while Klein investigated North City, encountered an Angel-level Amon avatar, and decided to stop exploring until he obtained charms.

  • Cattleya told Alice that Frank was preparing to advance to Sequence 4 and that Sharpe's condition had worsened, so she agreed to keep Frank away from him and seek the Queen's help sooner.
  • After the Tarot Club ended, Alice showed Derrick a list of surviving cities, and Derrick chose Dawn as their next destination.
  • Klein observed North City and found it deserted, then entered the ruins using layered Historical Projections to investigate Kotar's traces.
  • Klein found Kotar's statue in a church, but it revealed itself as an Angel-level Amon avatar, forcing Klein to flee.
  • Klein suspected Amon was waiting at Kotar's traces to hunt him, decided not to explore again until he obtained charms, and chose to tell Alice.
  • Alice and Derrick discussed how to connect the Fool with the Creator from back then as they planned their entrance.

Ch. 663City of Dawn

Alice and Derrick won the City of Dawn’s trust by purifying its residents and introducing edible mushrooms, then Alice explained the Creator’s history and promised the Fool would arrange their rescue. Ann began preparing a ritual, but Alice noticed it was not directed toward her Lord.

  • Alice and Derrick met Ann, Chief of the City of Dawn, and Derrick used the Cross to purify her and the Exploration Team while Alice healed them.
  • Alice showed the residents mushrooms that could be eaten after cooking and explained how to avoid the toxic varieties.
  • Alice told Ann that her Lord, the Fool, had made a transaction with the Creator to save the city, and recounted how the Creator had been betrayed, devoured, and left nearly mad.
  • Alice revealed that the Creator had split apart and needed to fuse back together, leaving the residents shocked and remorseful about their resentment.
  • Ann welcomed Alice and Derrick into the city and began preparing a ritual while Alice followed her and questioned whom it was meant to summon.

Ch. 664Miss Fortune Victim Alliance

Alice helped Ann learn The Fool’s prayer ritual while Klein prepared a plan to lure Kotar and contaminate it through the Castle of Origin. The True Creator’s response nearly overwhelmed Klein, but after recovering, Klein appeared before Kotar as it tried to flee.

  • Alice told Ann that saving her had been a deal between My Lord and the Creator, then sent Derrick to explain The Fool’s prayer ritual.
  • After Ann and the others were healed, Alice gave Ann The Fool’s Honorific Name, and Klein spent the following week arranging for charms and items to be purchased.
  • Alice visited two more cities, while Alger met the Calamity Queen Ghosinham and accepted a task involving the Book of Calamity.
  • Klein used a Historical Projection to pray to Kotar, then invoked the True Creator and threatened to have Alice pray to it every day.
  • The True Creator responded and contaminated Klein through the prayer, but Klein used a Restart charm to recover his sanity and spirituality.
  • Kotar tried to flee its castle, but a Silver River knocked it back, and Klein appeared before it holding the Staff of Stars.

Ch. 665Half-Body of the Lord

After Kotar fled and left behind the Curtain, Klein decided not to pursue him and joined Alice and Derrick instead. Alice teased Klein about his connection to the Fool, spun Derrick an invented myth, and the chapter ended with Klein growing mushrooms for Derrick from the bodies of monsters.

  • Klein told Alice that Kotar had fled, and Alice warned him that pursuing Kotar and then Zaratul would be more dangerous than using the separated Beyonder Characteristic.
  • Klein abandoned the hunt and asked Alice if he could accompany her; when she suggested he pose as Dark Angel Sasrir, he refused because he had just provoked the True Creator.
  • Alice told Derrick a fabricated story about Klein as Sun Wukong, and Klein clarified that he was formed from the Fool's flesh and blood, like Dark Angel Sasrir.
  • Alice wondered whether the ancient story was a prophecy and abruptly urged them to leave, but Derrick's hunger made her ask Klein to grow mushrooms.
  • Klein summoned monster Marionettes, had them take Derrick's mycelium, released his control so they became corpses, and used the Staff of Life to grow mushrooms.

Ch. 666Return to the City of Silver

Alice and Klein returned Derrick to the City of Silver and discussed preparations for exploring the Giant King's Court, where opening the doors could trigger a conflict among powerful beings. Klein then told Colin about the suffering in other cities across the Cursed Land and began asking for help with the miracles promised to them.

  • Alice accidentally overfed Derrick mushrooms until he vomited, and Klein stopped her from feeding him poisonous or undercooked ones.
  • Klein and Alice accompanied Derrick back to the City of Silver after he finished digesting his Potion, and Colin welcomed them.
  • Alice warned Colin that opening the Giant King's Court could provoke a battle among at least five True Gods and numerous Angels and Kings of Angels.
  • Alice insisted that Mr. Fool be invited to bless Hilmon's advancement ritual, while Klein and Alice gave Colin a confusing account of their relationship with the Fool.
  • After Alice left with Derrick, Klein told Colin that other cities in the Cursed Land faced worse conditions than the City of Silver and described the food and treatment he and Alice had provided.

Ch. 667New Path

Klein and Alice stayed in the City of Silver while Derrick and Hilmon prepared for advancement, and Lovia returned with news of a route to the seashore. Colin arranged for Klein to help open the Giant King's Court in exchange for the City of Silver sheltering the other cities' residents until they could all leave together.

  • Klein agreed with Colin Iliad to bring the residents of the other cities to the City of Silver before opening the door and leading everyone out together.
  • Derrick sought the materials and help he needed to advance to Unshadowed, while Hilmon prepared to advance to Silver Knight.
  • Lovia returned from Afternoon Town after Alice had spent nearly two months in the City of Silver, and Alice joked with Klein about her causing more of a commotion than the Fool.
  • Lovia told Colin that her team had found a hidden path to the seashore but could not cross its illusory ocean, and she revealed that she had obtained the Black Knight Potion Formula and ingredients.
  • Colin planned for Lovia, Derrick, and Hilmon to advance before the City of Silver explored the Giant King's Court, and Klein offered to help open its gates in exchange for sheltering the other cities' residents.
  • Klein told Lovia that the gates' corruption required the Fool's blessing to withstand, then left Colin and Lovia to discuss the plan.

Ch. 668Departure

Alice and Klein helped bring the gathered residents to the City of Silver, where Alice discovered that an Angel of the Fate pathway had taken Sealed Artifacts connected to Fate. The City of Silver expedition departed for the Giant King's Court, but Alice realized after they had walked away from the city that she could have transported them there directly.

  • Lovia advanced to Black Knight, and Klein brought the gathered residents back to the City of Silver by having them hold onto one another.
  • Alice learned that Moon City and another settlement had lost Sealed Artifacts connected to the Fate pathway, and she suspected Will was nearby.
  • Alice, Klein, Colin Iliad, Derrick, Lovia, and the others prepared to depart for the Giant King's Court the next morning.
  • The City of Silver residents gave the expedition a silent farewell, and Colin Iliad led the group beyond the city walls.
  • After the party had walked for several hundred meters, Alice realized she could have transported everyone directly to their destination.

Ch. 669White Hair

Alice warned the City of Silver team that its non-Demigod members could die without helping, then accompanied the others up the mountain to the Giant King's Court. When Klein used a Historical Projection to carry Groselle's Ashes and the key onward, Alice intervened as the Chaos Sea affected him, and the chapter ended with her discovering that she had grown white hair.

  • Alice urged the Chief to leave the non-Demigod members behind, and the Chief agreed to have them wait outside the dangerous area for a signal.
  • Alice, Klein, Lovia, and the Chief led the team up the mountain by way of the Forest of Decay and the Barren Tunnel, where they found a broken elevator.
  • Klein went aside to pray for the Fool's blessing, while Alice told the City of Silver team a fanciful story about the Fool being shy and receiving Demigod-level psychiatric treatment.
  • Klein returned with Groselle's Ashes and a giant black iron Key, then sent a Historical Projection carrying them onward; Alice had the non-Demigods close their eyes and watched Klein's shadow flee after the Chaos Sea submerged him.
  • Alice tried to reach Klein through an illusory silver river, severed the connection when the Chaos Sea overwhelmed it, and was helped by Castle of Origin as the ocean retreated.
  • Alice opened her eyes, noticed a silver-white strand, and realized she had grown white hair.

Ch. 670"Shyness."

After Klein temporarily restored his spirit with a shy Virtual Personality, he and Alice joined the team to enter the Giant King's Court. They discovered the route across the cloud sea was impassable, then defeated the Silver Knights at the front gate and continued onward with one Knight following Klein.

  • Klein used a Historical Projection of Justice Audrey to give himself a temporary Virtual Personality, and Alice discovered her hair had turned partly silver-white.
  • Alice warned the Chief to stop when she foresaw the path collapsing into dark water, and the team confirmed that objects could not cross the cloud sea by throwing, flying, or teleporting.
  • Klein suggested taking the front gate, and the team returned to the enormous stairs leading to the city walls.
  • Klein summoned Reinette Tinekerr with a gold coin, and she transformed one Silver Knight into a rabbit that Klein then destroyed.
  • The Chief asked Klein about the Knight following him, and Alice advised everyone not to speak to Klein until he found his shadow.

Ch. 671Little En, Little You, Little Ni

Alice, Klein, and the Silver City team opened the Giant King's gate and faced a Dark Angel-corrupted Eunyuni and Klein's shadow. Alice thwarted their attack on Klein, but the group remained before the Giant King's palace with the threat unresolved.

  • Klein's Silver Knight opened the towering gate, revealing the stairs and palaces leading to the Giant King's residence.
  • Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Klein's Silver Knight confronted two figures that could not leave their area, while Alice identified one as Eunyuni, Klein's former marionette.
  • Eunyuni transformed and conjured an illusion of the City of Silver, but Colin Iliad recognized it as false, and Alice warned that Sasrir favored the Secrets Suppliant pathway.
  • Eunyuni's heads displayed the powers of the Sun, and Alice questioned his identity and why he was not called Eve.
  • Eunyuni used Alice's questions to distract her and sent an illusory storm at Klein, but Alice pulled him aside and restrained the attack until it exploded.
  • Alice protected Klein from the storm's aftermath, while Derrick, Colin Iliad, and Lovia defended themselves; Klein reminded Alice that his Virtual Personality would have protected him.

Ch. 672"Fair"

Alice stayed out of the direct fight against Eunyuni’s forces while manipulating luck and the battlefield to help the City of Silver. Klein and the others held their ground, but the Spectator Eunyuni began preparing a mental attack on Klein.

  • Alice urged Colin Iliad to act, and he exposed the elderly Eunyuni’s phantom before striking his true form as it transformed into a Dragon.
  • Alice used falling rubble to disrupt the enemy while Klein restrained his shadow, Lovia fought the younger Eunyuni, and Derrick faced Eunyuni’s main body.
  • Eunyuni’s main body wounded Colin Iliad with a Spirit-Flesh Blade, but Derrick pierced it with an Undarkened Spear; Alice then rewound events, restoring Colin’s arm and leaving Eunyuni’s wings damaged.
  • Derrick used his Notary ability to strengthen purification against Eunyuni, but the younger Eunyuni negated the effect and Eunyuni corrupted the incoming Undarkened Spears.
  • Alice reversed her interference with Klein’s luck and secretly improved it, helping him gain an advantage over his shadow while his Silver Knight marionette kept the Spectator Eunyuni occupied.
  • The Spectator Eunyuni began condensing a Mental Plague Source Seed to attack Klein, and Alice noticed his attempt.

Ch. 673Wrong Path

Klein and Alice defeated Eunyuni and the shadow, then prepared to enter the Giant King's Court with Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derrick. As they went inside, Ouroboros followed the Call of Fate toward the court, while Will Auceptin chose to head east instead.

  • Klein let the Mental Plague infect him, feigned madness, and relied on Alice to conceal and reverse its effects while his Silver Knight marionette destroyed Eunyuni's Mind Dragon and used up the shadow's Paper Figurine Substitutes.
  • Alice prevented the shadow from escaping, and Klein joined Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derrick to defeat Eunyuni's true body and two avatars.
  • The group recuperated briefly, then Klein tested the Giant King's Court with a crow and found he lost contact with it; he prepared the Staff of Stars to test whether projections and marionettes would be affected by the place's influence.
  • Alice warned Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derrick that the way ahead was dangerous, and they followed her with Klein into the Giant King's Court.
  • Ouroboros told Will Auceptin that he had foreseen them both dying but still followed the Call of Fate toward the Giant King's Court; Styver departed separately to inspect believers, and Will continued east.

Ch. 674Inside the Hall

Alice, Klein, Lovia, Colin Iliad, and Derrick entered the shadow-covered palace to confront Dark Angel Sasrir and find a way out. Klein’s approach to the throne triggered a shadow apparition that revealed his Castle of Origin aura, while the group learned Sasrir’s left hand and a Blasphemy Slate lay beyond the throne.

  • Alice warned Lovia that entering the hall would kill her, but Lovia went in anyway, and the group followed her inside.
  • Alice told everyone to lie down and let the shadows swallow them; they reappeared in another palace before Sasrir’s throne.
  • The shadow curtain vanished to reveal Sasrir seated on the throne, and Alice identified his left hand and a Blasphemy Slate as lying beyond it.
  • Lovia sent a Grazed Devil to scout, but sacred lightning destroyed it, so Klein approached the throne instead.
  • As Klein advanced, the shadows formed brass-colored eyes and an apparition that changed through his identities before displaying the gray-white mist of the Castle of Origin.
  • The eyes spoke, identifying the aura as belonging to the Castle of Origin.

Ch. 675Entrance

Alice seized the first Blasphemy Slate from beneath Sasrir’s wings and helped the others purify the Dark Angel evil spirit, while realizing that her identity might be fused with the Key of Light. As the battle ended, Amon entered the projection of the Giant King’s Residence, Ouroboros approached the hall, and Will Auceptin fled east to avoid them.

  • Alice touched the Blasphemy Slate, resisted Sasrir’s pull with the True Creator’s help, and escaped with the slate in her arms.
  • Alice explained that Sasrir was an Angel-level evil spirit without the Chaos Sea, calming Colin Iliad, Derrick, Lovia, and Klein as they fought Him.
  • Alice noticed her hair had turned completely silver-white and considered whether the Key of Light’s will had shaped her personality and identity.
  • Alice watched the others purify Sasrir and held the Blasphemy Slate tightly as the shadows disintegrated.
  • Amon entered the projection of the Giant King’s Residence as the Chaos Sea’s power receded, while Ouroboros sensed something and walked toward the hall.
  • Will Auceptin continued collecting Beyonder Characteristics and headed for the easternmost part of the Land Abandoned by God to avoid Amon and Alice.

Ch. 676Praise the Goddess

Alice escaped Amon with the Blasphemy Slate and returned to the City of Silver with Klein and Colin Iliad. After learning that the City of Silver’s Sealed Artifact contained the corpse of the Giant Queen Omebella, Alice realized the danger surrounding the Divine War and pledged herself as an ally of the Evernight Goddess.

  • Amon appeared and tried to take the Blasphemy Slate, but Alice used it to attack him and then escaped into the River of Fate while Klein took Colin Iliad and the others to the City of Silver.
  • Alice rejoined Klein and the City of Silver survivors, where Colin Iliad thanked her by kneeling and Klein joined him; Alice stopped Lovia and Derrick from kneeling too.
  • Alice told Colin Iliad that the survivors could leave for the outside world after resting and preparing, and said a Divine War was underway there.
  • Colin Iliad revealed that the City of Silver’s Sealed Artifact, Gift of the Land, was the corpse of the Giant Queen Omebella and caused the city’s curse and abundance.
  • Alice connected the revelation to the Mother Goddess of Depravity and the conflict between Feysac and Loen, then declared, “Praise the Goddess,” and resolved to be the Evernight Goddess’s steadfast ally.
