First, I've basically read and replied to the recent comments about the plot. Some said I was padding, some said I used too many borderline jokes, all sorts of things. This was a good time, so I'll address them briefly:
As for the borderline jokes, I did get a little carried away when writing those chapters. After all, once I wrote about Mending Heaven Peak, I instinctively thought of them. I'll pay more attention to that going forward.
As for people saying I'm padding, I'm more inclined to call it a gradual transition in the plot. I'd just finished a major burst of action, and this new life had only just begun. I couldn't make every chapter a climax, especially since the story was more or less in its middle stage now. There were more things to consider than in the early stages, and some things had to be written, or else both the plot and characters would feel too hollow.
This kind of buildup couldn't be skipped. It had to be written.
After all, this wasn't like Sky Soaring's full-subscription bonus story. Everything in that bonus story had already been built up in the main text, so it worked well to erupt all at once.
