Jiangxi Buddhist Cultivators followed the "Path of Profound Joy and Nirvana," yet they could occupy a corner of the land rather than be forced to flee overseas. That alone was enough to prove the strength of their lineage.
Yet unlike the Sword Pavilion and Sacred Sect, with their multitude of divine abilities,
Jiangxi Buddhist Cultivators did not distinguish between cultivation methods and divine abilities. Thus, they cultivated nothing else, focusing only on a single scripture, from which both cultivation methods and divine abilities were distilled.
Its name was the "Great Vehicle Right Enlightenment Fundamental Sutra."
It was said that this scripture had been passed down by the World Honored One of the "Path of Profound Joy and Nirvana." Its purpose was to guide people toward goodness, achieve Nirvana after extinction, and thereby seek the "True Self."
Yet this "True Self" was not the Buddhist Cultivator's own self.
It was the "self" of that World Honored One.
Once one cultivated the Path of Profound Joy and Nirvana to its utmost extreme, one would extinguish oneself and comprehend the truth: "I am the World Honored One, and the World Honored One is me." From then on, one would be no different from the World Honored One.
The scripture called this "Attaining Buddhahood" and "Right Enlightenment."
Because the World Honored One was a Buddha, becoming the World Honored One was equivalent to becoming a Buddha.
The same was true for all living beings. All living beings could attain Buddhahood. "I" was Buddha; therefore, all living beings could become "me." Comprehending this principle meant attaining Supreme Enlightenment.
Within the "Great Vehicle Right Enlightenment Fundamental Sutra" were forty-eight great mantras, said to have been established by the World Honored One when he attained enlightenment. Every great mantra contained boundless profundities and could give rise to
