Asgard.

The legendary land of the gods, situated at the center of the many planes of the Material Layer, was a world created by the great God of Thunder and Lightning—Odin.

Prosperous, beautiful, resplendent in gold and jade—these were people's pleasant impressions of Asgard, along with a measure of longing and admiration.

Asgard covered a vast area and had a large population. Within the Energy Layer, it also possessed a highly complete magic web... one filled with immense Thunder and Lightning Power.

Lightning possessed tremendous destructive power. Thus, in the world of the Infinite Magic Web, Asgard was a renowned place... its overall strength ranked among the top ten.

Furthermore, Asgard possessed the famous Rainbow Bridge, capable of traversing time and space and transporting people and objects tens of thousands of light-years away.

Because of the Rainbow Bridge, Asgard had once expanded aggressively abroad, conquering numerous colonies. For a time, it even called itself the "Lord of All Realms" and the "Supreme Ruler."

But because it had been too high-profile and arrogant, Asgard suffered a joint assault from other major powers. Although Asgard's Thunder Legion was extraordinarily brave and could fight one against ten, two fists could not defeat four hands. Under the siege of the other major powers, Asgard was defeated and lost nearly all of its colonies.

If Odin had not compromised in time, signed a peace treaty, and promised never to expand abroad again, even Asgard itself might have been destroyed.

Thus, Asgard rapidly declined. It no longer sought progress, and tens of thousands of years without war had nearly caused the world to forget it.

Yet someone was deeply unwilling to accept this.
