Since Salosha had gone far away to hunt and had yet to return, Atlanm waited at the Duke's Residence for three days.

During those three days, with nothing better to do, Atlanm wandered around the Duke's Residence a couple of times.

There, he discovered something rather strange.

Judging from the steadily increasing number of troops at the training grounds behind the Duke's Residence, the Duke's Residence had been recruiting soldiers and buying horses lately.

What were they recruiting soldiers and buying horses for?

Curious, Atlanm eavesdropped on a conversation between two senior commanders. One word he heard often was "gold."

"Robert Duke is taking part in Starwind Kingdom's expedition plan too? Does he want to make a fortune in the Orunian Empire as well?"

Atlanm guessed, but he vaguely felt that things might not be so simple.
