Under a strategy of both pressure and persuasion,
Xuanqing Continent finally returned to peace.
The upper echelons of the Six Major Sects also expressed their agreement to join the Protagonist Squad's "Internet Plan," contributing their efforts to its implementation and offering their full cooperation.
Seeing the situation grow increasingly optimistic and clear, and with it basically confirmed that all of Xuanqing Continent had been brought under control, everyone in the Protagonist Squad let out a sigh of relief and, for once, smiled.
Though there had been a few bumps along the way, everyone was fairly satisfied with this start.
But...
When they looked again at the time spent conquering Xuanqing Continent—ten whole years—the entire Protagonist Squad could no longer smile.
"Just one Xuanqing Continent wasted ten years of our time. There are still hundreds of thousands of planes waiting for us. How much time will it take to bring them all under control?"
"Exactly. A task originally planned for one or two years ended up taking nearly ten times as long. This efficiency... is far too low!"
"We still haven't found the most efficient method. We spent too long maneuvering against those opposing forces. We were far too hesitant and dragged things out." Group Leader Roger shook his head.
"The problem is that even if we don't drag things out, even if every plane is cooperative, there are hundreds of thousands of planes. It would probably still take hundreds of thousands of years to bring them all under control. The method we're using now isn't very efficient."
Captain Quake spoke with a frown. He had discovered an extremely severe problem.
Everyone immediately fell silent, racking their brains for a solution.
There were hundreds of thousands of planes of every imaginable kind. There was no way the Protagonist Squad could conquer
