Despairing Girls

A few hours later.

Lu Xiaoyuan and the others fled back to the school as if running for their lives.

Their eyes brimmed with tears, their faces full of despair!

The four girls clung tightly to one another, crouching in a corner of the Teaching Building rooftop, sobbing together as their bodies trembled like sieves.

Mami Senior Ba was dead!

The Demon Beast had bitten off her head in one bite, blood spurting out like a fountain!

In the end, Mami Senior Ba was to blame for being too overconfident. After discovering that Demon Seed, she had not disposed of it immediately. Instead, she had planned to "raise it for a while" and wait until the Demon Seed matured before destroying the witch inside.

But she had never expected that, after the Demon Seed matured, the witch inside would be so powerful. Even after being severely wounded, she still had the strength to strike back.

Furthermore, Mami Senior Ba had wanted to set an example for her juniors and teach them practical combat techniques for fighting Demon Beasts, so she had made Lu Xiaoyuan and the others stand aside and watch rather than joining her in surrounding the Demon Beast.

Then they sought help from adults.

Their first thought was to call the police and have them handle the matter.

But the police's reply drove them even further into despair:

"Sorry, there is no record of a citizen named Ba Mami in our citizen files. Please do not make invalid emergency calls."
