Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong built Soul Hall’s influence while Qingtong’s loyalties were tested between Shrek Academy and the Sun Moon Empire. The volume ends with the tournament underway, Tang Ya fighting for the Sun Moon team, and Jiang Shengyu’s attack on the White Tiger Duke Residence unresolved.

Arc 1A New Home for the Tang Sect

Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong built ties between Soul Hall and the Tang Sect while gaining allies and drawing scrutiny from Shrek Academy. The arc ended with Tang Ya arriving in the Sun Moon Empire and considering Jiang Shengyu’s offer to rebuild her sect with Soul Hall’s support.

  • Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong awakened with new martial souls after an Azure Vein Unicorn left them near death, and Kong Deming took them to Bright Capital as his disciples.
  • Jiang Shengyu proposed reviving Spirit Hall’s soul awakening practices, while Jiang Qingtong Imprinted Huo Yuhao’s Spirit Eyes and persuaded him to join Soul Hall and study at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy.

Arc 2The Far North Expedition

Jiang Qingtong establishes herself at Shrek before returning to the Sun Moon Empire and joining Huo Yuhao in the Far North. Huo Yuhao gains the Ice Empress’s power, and the pair return to Mingde Hall with an Ultimate Ice Martial Soul.

  • Jiang Shengyu established Tang Ya’s Tang Sect liaison office at Soul Hall headquarters and recruited youths for the sect, while Xu Tianran failed to win Jiang Shengyu as an ally.
  • Jiang Qingtong agreed to Ma Xiaotao’s assessment and defended the ring with Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao, revealing her Evil Fire Phoenix to defeat Ning Tian, Xie Huanyue, and Dai Huabin.
  • Jiang Qingtong and her teammates won the assessment, earned Core Disciple status and Inner Court Access, and she left Shrek after Yan Shaozhe offered to help with her evil fire.

Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong faced the Snow Empress’s awakening, Shrek Academy’s attempts to recruit Qingtong, and preparations for the tournament. The stretch ended with Xuan Zi warning the selected students that the Sun Moon Empire’s team could be powerful enough to threaten another war.

  • Jing Hongchen escorted Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong back to Sun Moon Empire territory, while Long Xiaoyao and Ye Xishui separately confronted Qingtong about her Martial Soul.
  • Jiang Shengyu drew an ice-type third soul skill with Water Moon, and Ye Xishui drew the evil fire from Jiang Qingtong’s Martial Soul before leaving her behind.
  • At Shrek Academy, Jiang Qingtong revealed her Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion and refused Mu En’s offer to stay, pledging loyalty to the Sun Moon Empire.

Arc 4The Tournament Begins

Jiang Qingtong joined Shrek Academy’s Reserve Team as it faced deadly danger, while her ties to the Sun Moon Empire complicated relations between the two academies. In Star Luo City, Jiang Shengyu and Xiao Hongchen attacked the White Tiger Duke Residence, and Tang Ya appeared on the Sun Moon team as the tournament began.

  • Xuan Zi named Bei Bei captain and Jiang Qingtong vice-captain, and He Caitou revealed that he belonged to the Sun Moon Empire’s imperial family.
  • Jing Hongchen and Kong Deming launched the first Soul-guided Satellite, and Jiang Shengyu received the title of Celestial Moon Marquis.
  • The Shrek teams traveled to Star Luo City, where Jiang Qingtong led Dai Yueheng’s side to victory in a friendly match and revealed her Ultimate Ice martial soul.
