Ruizi had fought magi before, so without a word, she swung up a whirlwind that quickly knocked away the water spikes shooting toward her. But just then, another gale suddenly came roaring in, charging at Ruizi from an angle.
Ruizi hurriedly dodged aside, narrowly avoiding the storm that had swept at her from the side. Yet the instant she landed, she suddenly felt her foot tighten. Looking down, she saw that the soil beneath her had firmly trapped her right foot!
These magi really were impressive.
Though she was surprised, Ruizi did not find it particularly strange. At least for now, their power was not all that different from an Esper's. Unless they could summon something like the seemingly living Flame Giant that red-haired man had used against her before, Ruizi felt there was not much difference between so-called supernatural abilities and magic.
With that thought, Ruizi drove her sword into the ground with a backhanded thrust. A whirlwind erupted, instantly sweeping away the manipulated soil on the ground. Then she leaped into the air and glanced around, only to discover that two more witches dressed exactly like the first had appeared to her left and right!
She was surrounded?
No choice. Time for the big move!
Ruizi's expression shifted slightly. She gripped her blade tightly, held it downward behind her, and drove it forcefully into the earth. In the next moment, a violent hurricane appeared, spreading outward in every direction from Ruizi.
"Gale Breath Slash!"
The three magi surrounding Ruizi had clearly never encountered this kind of fighting style. They were stunned by the sudden whirlwind. Before they could react, however, the storm before them abruptly split apart. Several flashes of sword light emerged and lunged at them like the fangs of a beast!
