After that, led by Momoko, Kozue met her two companions, Rena Minami and Kaede Akino, at the station.
Unlike Magical Girls elsewhere, who mostly fought alone, Kamihama City had a considerable number of Magical Girls, and nearly all of them had formed their own little groups. The reason was that Kamihama City had an astonishing number of Witches—so many that one could spot a Witch just by going out to buy a drink. Under those circumstances, the usual approach of each Magical Girl claiming her own territory simply did not work in Kamihama City.
Thus, Magical Girls in Kamihama City generally appeared in groups. Momoko was no exception. She had been working with those two girls for quite some time, investigating and defeating Witches, and they got along fairly well.
Unlike the outgoing Momoko, Rena Minami and Kaede Akino had very different personalities. Kaede Akino looked like an extremely timid girl and always hid behind Momoko. Rena Minami, meanwhile, had a much more forceful personality. She looked at Kozue with obvious impatience—as if Kozue owed her money.

Hearing Rena Minami's displeased reply, Momoko gave a bitter smile. Kaede Akino beside her also spoke up in support.
