"Up ahead!"
After leaving those Witches to Red Ponytail and Felicia, Kozue, Yachiyo, and Tsuruno continued onward. They soon passed through the dark passage and arrived at a spacious hall at its end. There, the three quickly spotted the Paper People they had seen before, as well as something resembling a faucet in their midst, gurgling as it spouted spring water.
"That must be the true form of the rumor!"
At the sight of that monster, Yachiyo tightened her grip on her spear.
"Let's go, Kozue, Tsuruno!"
"Yes!"
Sensing the danger, the Paper People suddenly split open down the middle. Then, a swarm of familiar-like creatures resembling flying insects surged out from within and rushed at the three girls. Before long, both sides were locked in battle.
Meanwhile, Felicia's fight against the Witches continued inside the barrier.
"Uwaaaaaah!!"
Felicia looked as though she had gone mad. She swung her hammer with all her strength, smashing it down at the Witches before her. She paid no heed to anything else, doing nothing but attack, attack, and attack again.
"Kill them! Kill every last Witch!!"
Roaring, Felicia raised her massive hammer again. Flames suddenly blasted from behind the hammer in her hands, and she descended like a human rocket, crashing down into the Witches once more and smashing two charging Witches into pieces.
But at that very moment, two enormous Witches from the other side seized the chance to pounce, opening their jaws as they lunged at Felicia—only to turn to ash in a flash of fire.
"Can't you calm down a little?"
Red Ponytail came to Felicia's side after burning away the two Witches with a single sword strike, casually sending another Witch behind her flying into the air.
"If you keep this up, you'll only give the Witches an opening.
