Elves.
They were a race steeped in romance in fantasy worlds. People generally imagined them as beautiful and elegant, living amid nature, isolated from the world, and blessed with long lives.
As for the elves of this world... well, at least that was indeed how most ordinary people saw them. There was even something called the Elf Church, with quite a few believers. The elves themselves also appeared as allies of humanity, bearing that very image.
But what was the truth?
The elves of this world were arrogant and Cold Blooded, and they even wielded technological creations beyond their civilization's level. Not only that, while they appeared allied with humanity on the surface, they had secretly been carrying out all sorts of evil deeds. For example, the many child abductions and kidnappings that had occurred within the Human Kingdom were masterminded by the elves.
On top of that, they had attacked the territory and killed the lord Airi knew.
"Hmm... I suppose there was no choice but to wipe them out."
Sitting on her broom, Airi looked down at the elves' land, shrugged, and sighed. This time, she had come alone for a simple reason. Elena was still somewhat lacking in strength; Little White would be restrained by the enemy; and while Azusa was fine in a one-on-one fight, she was not particularly skilled at large-scale AOE attacks. So Airi had sent the three of them back to the Valley of Ten Thousand Flowers with the baby while she followed the clues left behind and tracked them to this Fairy village.
Airi had already scanned the place. Besides elves, there were also human children living here, around two or three years old. There was no need to ask; these children had clearly been captured by the elves and brought here.
