Seated on a stone chair, a man wrapped from head to toe in a black robe smiled as he watched the mage before him. His attire looked utterly unremarkable, enough to make anyone mistake him for an ordinary person. But one look at his face would immediately dispel that misconception.
Beneath the black robe was a sallow, gaunt face that looked as though it had been scorched by burning coals. His cheeks were covered in patches of hardened skin. As he spoke, his facial muscles twitched, and faint sparks could even be seen flickering through the cracks between those hardened patches. In truth, his entire body resembled a walking human-shaped furnace. Even approaching him was enough to drive one back with the scorching heat.
This was a Destruction Mage. They had cast aside the shackles of mortals, using their bodies as furnaces to absorb and obtain the endless flames of hell. What flowed through their bodies was not blood, but magma. What beat within their chests was not a heart, but a surging torrent of fire. From the moment they absorbed the fires of hell, they had ceased to be human, becoming creatures formed from terrifying infernal flames.
