Tianyao has had it rough. I ran into problems with the new book's background and setting, and a huge number of brain cells have died.
To be honest, the new book's setting is genuinely taxing.
The core issue is—
For the game's background, I want to create an original mythological world and then weave the story of Journey to the West into it.
Rather than creating an adaptation based on Journey to the West's original setting.
The two share quite a few similarities, but the differences are also substantial.
Recently, in Qidian's gaming category, there's Qingshan Quzui and the ancient Great God Shiluo Ye ahead, while League of Legends stories and game-development stories have claimed half the territory behind them.
The pressure is enormous. I'm afraid the new book will flop, so I don't dare release it rashly.
