Ch. 224Heavenly King Covers Earth Tiger

Gu Yi refined the Jade Emperor’s Heart, revealed the Jade Emperor Palace, and used it to draw in and subdue the Qian Region’s experts. After keeping his allies outside the palace, he faced Lin Feng’s question about a Chinese phrase that could confirm whether they both came from Earth.

  • As Gu Yi refined the Jade Emperor’s Heart, Lin Feng suspected that Gu Yi and the ancient Demon Empress had both transmigrated from Earth because Gu Yi could read Chinese characters.
  • The Jade Emperor’s Heart transported everyone out of the tomb, and Gu Yi summoned the Jade Emperor Palace and persuaded most of the Heavenly Martial Realm experts to enter it.
  • Gu Yi recalled the palace, defeated the remaining Heavenly Martial Realm experts, and drew them into the Jade Emperor Palace with the Jade Emperor’s Heart.
  • Qing Lin summoned Heavenly Demons to stop the Profound Martial Realm geniuses from escaping, and Gu Yi sent them into the palace while sparing the Divine Palace’s people.
  • After Gu Yi left Jun Moxi, Tang Youyou, and Lin Feng outside with his close companions, Lin Feng asked him what followed “Heavenly King Covers Earth Tiger.”

Ch. 225When Fellow Townsmen Meet

Lin Feng discovered that Gu Yi was also a transmigrator, and the two discussed their pasts, their hopes of returning to Earth, and the danger of revealing their identities to the Demon Empress. After the factions learned the Jade Emperor Hall had appeared, Gu Yi and his companions returned to the Snow Region, where Jun Moxi went into hiding and prepared to break through to the Heavenly Martial Realm.

  • Lin Feng confirmed that Gu Yi had been reincarnated from Earth, and Gu Yi explained that Lin Feng's sudden rise in talent had followed his own transmigration.
  • Gu Yi warned Lin Feng not to reveal their identities to the Demon Empress, leaving Lin Feng suspicious that she had deliberately arranged the Jade Emperor Tomb's inheritance for a future transmigrator.
  • The factions discovered that their Heavenly Martial Realm experts had vanished and sensed traces of Imperial Qi, prompting the Qian Region's Venerables to gather and search unsuccessfully for the Emperor's Palace.
  • Gu Yi and his companions returned to the Snow Region, where Jun Moxi chose to travel secretly to Heavenly Dragon City and attempt a breakthrough.
  • After Jun Moxi departed, Gu Yi's group flew onward and arrived quietly at Snow Moon Imperial City.

Ch. 226Breaking Through Three Realms in Succession

Gu Yi used his control of the Jade Emperor Palace to subdue the trapped factions, seize their treasures, and plunder Essence Crystals and ancient relics. After returning to Snow Moon Imperial Palace, he broke through to the third level of the Heavenly Martial Realm, while several sealed halls containing the Jade Emperor Scripture remained beyond his strength.

  • Gu Yi entered the Jade Emperor Palace and used its power to crush the gathered experts’ attacks, forcing them to submit and demanding their treasures and copies of their techniques.
  • Gu Yi told Bei Ming that the Divine Palace would receive ten thousand Essence Crystals and kept the other factions imprisoned in the palace.
  • Gu Yi stripped tens of thousands of Essence Crystals from the Bridge of Profound Truths and searched the palace’s halls, finding weapons, technique records, and a thousand-year-old medicinal garden.
  • Gu Yi failed to open the six strongest sealed halls and decided to improve his cultivation before attempting them again.
  • Gu Yi returned to Snow Moon Imperial Palace and broke through to the third level of the Heavenly Martial Realm, while his body and spirit cultivations also advanced.

Ch. 227New Worlds

Gu Yi spent Source Power to connect to five new worlds after reviewing his growing reserves and arranging defenses for the Snow Moon Imperial Palace. Two worlds connected, and his Blood Shadow Avatars began exploring them, leaving their nature and value uncertain.

  • Gu Yi reviewed how he had gained and spent Source Power, then used 450,000 points to seek connections to five new worlds.
  • The Flame Emperor accepted 20,000 Essence Crystals from Gu Yi in exchange for building formations able to resist or kill Venerable Martial Realm experts.
  • Gu Yi gave Xiao Yi Xian, Gu Qingcheng, Cai Lin, and the other women Storage Rings filled with Essence Crystals suited to their Intent Realms, then strolled through the palace with them.
  • Gu Yi sensed that the Myriad Worlds Gate had connected to two new worlds and sent Blood Shadow Avatars to explore them.
  • The Avatar in the seventh world found a human village and recognized its language as Chinese, while the Avatar in the eighth world saw an immense forest; Gu Yi suspected the seventh world was a martial arts world.

Ch. 228Four Great Divine Books

Gu Yi explored the seventh world, Twin Dragons of Tang, and learned that shattering its void erased a Blood God Child while granting him insights into life, death, and the world's laws. He sent a Blood Shadow Avatar to seek the Four Great Divine Books, then entered the eighth world and intervened in a battle between humans and gray giants.

  • Gu Yi identified the seventh world as Twin Dragons of Tang and sent a seventh-level Profound Martial Realm Blood God Child to test shattering the void.
  • The Blood God Child died as its body was destroyed and its soul merged with Heaven and Earth, giving Gu Yi insights into death and the Tang world's laws.
  • Gu Yi decided to leave a Blood God Child in the Tang world to gather source power and martial arts, while his Blood Shadow Avatar set out to obtain Cihang Jingzhai's Cihang Sword Canon.
  • In the eighth world, the Blood Shadow Avatar found gray giant invaders slaughtering a human tribe and summoned Gu Yi after spotting the humans' dire situation.
  • Gu Yi adapted to the eighth world's laws, appeared over the tribe, and killed the giants with golden starlight and a palm strike.

Ch. 229Holy Demon, Heavenly Evolution

After saving the Cloudwater Tribe, Gu Yi learned the Holy Demon Continent’s history and cultivation systems and recognized it as Heavenly Evolution Star in the Martial Peak World. He set out for the Bloodkill Plains to seek the inheritances of Primordial Chaos Heavenly Venerate, hoping to reach them before Lin Ming.

  • Gu Yi communicated with Wankui, accepted the Cloudwater Tribe chief’s invitation, and learned the local human language and writing in two days.
  • Gu Yi studied the continent’s races and cultivation systems, comparing human realms with those of the Giant Demons.
  • Gu Yi recognized the world as Heavenly Evolution Star and recalled that Primordial Chaos Heavenly Venerate had left an inheritance beneath the Bloodkill Plains.
  • Gu Yi asked Wankui for directions to the Bloodkill Plains, and Wankui explained that its baleful energy, curse, and dangers suited mid-level cultivators of the Path of Killing.
  • Gu Yi learned that martial artists gathered in twelve Heavenly Demon Cities around natural sources of baleful energy to condense Heavenly Demon Tattoos.

Ch. 230Cloudsoaring Sky Demon City

Gu Yi traveled to the Bloodkill Plains, killed a group of Giant Demons in Spirit Radiance City, and obtained a Blood Kill Token for Cloudsoaring Sky Demon City. He then reached Cloudsoar City and began climbing the chains that served as its entrance.

  • Gu Yi learned about the Bloodkill Plains and set out after Wankui revealed its location.
  • On his journey, Gu Yi learned about the Holy Demon Continent's races and currencies, but he failed to find a Blood Kill Token.
  • In Spirit Radiance City, Gu Yi overheard Giant Demons insult humans and sensed that their strongest member might carry a token, so he killed them and took their Sumeru Rings.
  • Gu Yi found a Blood Kill Token marked for Cloudsoaring in one of the rings and left for the main city.
  • Gu Yi reached Cloudsoar City, discovered that flight was forbidden there, and began climbing one of the enormous chains leading inside.

Ch. 231Know Yourself and Your Enemy

Gu Yi entered Cloudsky City and investigated the Cloudsky Skytower, where he planned to gather enough baleful aura to condense a Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon Tattoo. After learning the tower’s layout and identifying its powerful fighters, he decided to provoke its rulers by disrupting order on the third floor.

  • Gu Yi entered Cloudsky City and presented his Blood Kill Token to the Cloud Reaching Pagoda’s guards, who gave him access to the third floor after he paid an entrance fee.
  • Gu Yi learned that the Cloudsky Skytower’s upper floors held the cultivation grounds, sixteen Ten-Winged Venerable Lords, and the tower master, and he sought a way to obtain a fourth-floor teleportation token.
  • An Elf Race guide led Gu Yi to the third-floor Martial Arts Arena, where he observed a Giant Demon kill a Barbarian and assessed the Heavenly Demon Tattoos of the fighters.
  • Gu Yi learned that the Path of Emperors was on the fourth floor and the King's Cage was among the third-floor cultivation grounds.
  • Gu Yi decided to slaughter more than half the martial artists on the third floor to draw the Venerable Lords down and harvest their baleful aura.

Ch. 232Unleashing a Massacre

Gu Yi sealed the third-floor Martial Arts Arena and slaughtered the trial-takers inside to absorb their Heavenly Demon malice. As seven Lords of the Cloud Reaching Pagoda arrived, Gu Yi had already advanced his tattoo to eight wings and continued fighting within the barrier.

  • Gu Yi trapped the Martial Arts Arena with a formation disc and demanded that the trial-takers surrender their Heavenly Demon malice.
  • When the Giant Demon steward and another Giant Demon attacked, Gu Yi killed them instantly and absorbed their malice, strengthening his Heavenly Demon Tattoo to two wings.
  • The trial-takers refused Gu Yi’s demand and attacked together, but his body withstood their assaults and he killed them with the Blood Soul Spear.
  • Gu Yi absorbed the malice of the Eight-Winged and Six-Winged Heavenly Demons, advancing his tattoo to eight wings as more than half the crowd died.
  • Seven Lords of the Cloud Reaching Pagoda arrived outside the sealed arena, led by the second-ranked Lord, while the first-ranked Lord stayed away.

Ch. 233Fire Essence, Core Flame

Gu Yi killed the seven Venerable Lords of the Cloud Reaching Pagoda and absorbed enough baleful qi to reach the late Ten-Winged Heavenly Demon stage, while discovering an Earth-grade Fire Essence in Demonic Flame Venerable Lord’s corpse. He teleported to the fourth floor, survived an ambush by the Cloud Reaching Pagoda master and nine Venerable Lords, and prepared to fight them before Bloodkill Plains Master arrived.

  • The seven Venerable Lords attacked Gu Yi, but his Heaven-Battling spear technique pierced and killed all seven.
  • Gu Yi absorbed much of their baleful qi, advancing his Heavenly Demon Tattoo to the late Ten-Winged stage and prompting the Cloud Reaching Pagoda master to alert Bloodkill Plains Master.
  • Gu Yi found an Earth-grade middle-rank Fire Essence called the Abyssal Demon Flame inside Demonic Flame Venerable Lord’s corpse and sealed it in his storage ring.
  • Gu Yi used Demonic Flame Venerable Lord’s teleportation token to reach the fourth floor of the Skytower, where the Cloud Reaching Pagoda master and nine Venerable Lords ambushed him.
  • Gu Yi used the Ancient Bronze Bell to weaken the ambush, suffered injuries that quickly began to heal, and told the ten attackers it was time for them to die.

Ch. 234Three Great Force Fields

Gu Yi slaughtered the Cloud Reaching Pagoda Master and his sixteen venerates, absorbed their baleful energy, and formed the Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon, gaining the God of Killing Field. He then entered the King's Cage qualification trial to pursue the Asura Force Field as the Bloodkill Plains Master arrived behind him.

  • Gu Yi pursued and killed the Cloud Reaching Pagoda Master’s venerates, then broke through the black hall’s formations and killed the remaining three venerates and the Pagoda Master.
  • Gu Yi absorbed the dead men’s baleful energy, formed the Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon Tattoo, and gained the God of Killing Field.
  • Gu Yi withdrew his force field and went to the third floor to enter the King's Cage, learning that he needed Titled Asura qualification to obtain the Asura Force Field.
  • Gu Yi entered the trial’s illusory light gate as the Bloodkill Plains Master arrived outside the Cloud Reaching Pagoda.

Ch. 235Battle the Devil Emperor

Gu Yi completed the King's Cage qualification trial, earned the title Sea of Blood Asura, and faced the Bloodkill Plains Master, Rakshasa, who tried to kill him. After their clash revealed Gu Yi could briefly reach Devil Emperor-level strength but still could not defeat Rakshasa, Gu Yi vanished as Rakshasa struck again.

  • Rakshasa entered the Cloud Reaching Pagoda, learned Gu Yi had killed its Ten-Winged Heavenly Demons and gained the Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon Tattoo, then waited outside the King's Cage trial ground.
  • Gu Yi endured trials involving numerous Intent Realms, used them to improve his understanding of Laws and spear techniques, and defeated the qualification trial's opponents.
  • Gu Yi emerged from the trial and was named Sea of Blood Asura on the King's Stele, while Rakshasa declared that he would kill him.
  • Gu Yi activated several enhancement abilities and clashed with Rakshasa, forcing the two-star Devil Emperor to take a step back before Gu Yi was driven into the chamber wall.
  • Gu Yi judged Rakshasa too strong to defeat for now and vanished just as Rakshasa launched a full-strength attack.

Ch. 236Taking Stock of the Spoils

Gu Yi escaped the Bloodkill Plains Master by using the Myriad Worlds Gate, then ambushed him with Nine Suns Annihilation and fled to Spirit Radiance City. There, Gu Yi refined the Abyssal Demon Flame and examined his spoils, discovering Demon God Bones among them.

  • Gu Yi reappeared before the Bloodkill Plains Master and hurled Nine Suns Annihilation at him before vanishing again.
  • The explosion injured the Bloodkill Plains Master and killed nearby Skytower stewards, guards, and trial-takers; Rakshasa ordered a formation set up to trap Gu Yi.
  • Gu Yi appeared in Spirit Radiance City and explained that he had used the Myriad Worlds Gate to escape, while planning to challenge other Skytowers and collect more flames.
  • Gu Yi refined the Abyssal Demon Flame, strengthening the Blood Sun Scripture and improving the power of his fused flames.
  • Gu Yi examined the spoils from dozens of Sumeru Rings, including Blood Fiend Crystals and a Black Dragon Spear, then recognized glass-like beads as Demon God Bones.

Ch. 237Demon God Bone, Bronze Battle Spirit

Gu Yi absorbed Demon God Bones to strengthen his Bone Martial Soul and physique while studying how to cultivate a Battle Spirit. He condensed a minor-accomplishment Bronze Battle Spirit, but judged that he still lacked the strength to defeat the Bloodkill Plains Master, so he prepared to visit the other Skytowers.

  • Gu Yi found forty-five Human Rank Demon God Bones and began absorbing them to temper his body and improve his Bone Martial Soul.
  • While reviewing treasures from the Sumeru Rings, Gu Yi studied Battle Spirit insights and drew on his past experiences to cultivate his mental will.
  • Gu Yi condensed a spear-shaped Bronze Battle Spirit directly at the minor-accomplishment stage and tested it by shredding a high-grade Profound Weapon with wind blades.
  • Gu Yi assessed his improved strength but concluded that he still could not confidently defeat the two-star Devil Emperor Bloodkill Plains Master.
  • Gu Yi distributed Blood Fiend Crystals to Blood God Children through the Myriad Worlds Gate, then vanished to head for the other Skytowers.

Ch. 238Lin Ming

Gu Yi forced his way into the Polar Star Pagoda to obtain the Myriad Demon Venerable Lord’s secret enslavement technique, while the Bloodkill Plains Master rushed to trap him in the King's Cage. There, Gu Yi encountered Lin Ming, who emerged from his trial as a newly titled Asura.

  • Gu Yi headed to the Polar Star Pagoda, dismissing the low-level worlds The First in the World and Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils while traveling.
  • Gu Yi entered the Polar Star Pagoda by force, and its Venerable Lords recognized him as the Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon and shut down the teleportation arrays.
  • The Myriad Demon Venerable Lord alerted the Bloodkill Plains Master, who rushed to the Polar Star Pagoda and ordered his son to let Gu Yi enter the King's Cage.
  • Gu Yi subdued the martial artists waiting outside the qualification trial and learned that Lin Ming was inside.
  • Lin Ming emerged from the trial, and the King's Stele named him Evil God Asura, making him the fifth Titled Asura in ten thousand years.

Ch. 239Evil God Power

Gu Yi sought to obtain Lin Ming’s Evil God Power and offered to trade his flame-fusion secret technique while helping Lin Ming become a Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon. Lin Ming accepted, and Gu Yi revealed that he would need to kill more than ten Pagoda Lords and tower masters to gain the tattoo.

  • Gu Yi considered how the Evil God Power could complement the Blood Sun Scripture, but recognized that Lin Ming’s Divine Crystal Cube and Mu Qianxue made attacking him dangerous.
  • Gu Yi knocked everyone else in the stone chamber unconscious and identified himself to Lin Ming as Sea of Blood Asura.
  • Gu Yi warned Lin Ming that the Bloodkill Plains Master would arrive within half an hour and might kill or enslave him for qualifying as a Titled Asura.
  • Lin Ming hesitated to leave the Polar Star Pagoda because he wanted the Sky Demon Martial Intent and the resources of the Bloodkill Plains.
  • Gu Yi offered to help Lin Ming condense a Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon Tattoo in exchange for the Divine Ability Secret Technique behind the Evil God Power, and offered his flame-fusion secret technique as payment.
  • Lin Ming agreed to the trade, and Gu Yi said Lin Ming would need to kill more than ten Pagoda Lords and tower masters to obtain the tattoo.

Ch. 240Seizing the Creation of Heaven and Earth

Gu Yi helped Lin Ming become a Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon, then gave him the Evil God Power secret technique in exchange for Lin Ming’s knowledge of the God of Killing Field. After Lin Ming left to wait in Sunset City, Gu Yi cultivated Evil God Power and began developing a dangerous new attack that might let him defeat the Bloodkill Plains Master.

  • Gu Yi used the Yinsha Gourd to escape the Polar Star Pagoda with Lin Ming and evade the Bloodkill Plains Master.
  • At the Giant Axe Skytower, Lin Ming killed the Giant Axe Tower Master and fourteen Venerable Lords, becoming a Twelve-Winged Heavenly Demon.
  • Lin Ming gave Gu Yi the Evil God Power technique, and Gu Yi explained that Lin Ming would need to pass through the King's Cage and the Path of Emperors to obtain the other fields of Sky Demon Martial Intent.
  • Gu Yi promised to kill the Bloodkill Plains Master, while Lin Ming agreed to wait in Sunset City and continue cultivating.
  • Gu Yi cultivated Evil God Power to its third level and infused the Evil God Seed with his various energies, creating spiritual beings such as Thunder Spirit and Ice Soul.
  • Gu Yi experimented with fusing the spiritual beings and found that combining four or five could produce a powerful explosion, though controlling it remained difficult.

Ch. 241King's Cage

Gu Yi entered the Titled Asura King's Cage to obtain the Asura Force Field and fought through increasingly dangerous trials while the Bloodkill Plains Master prepared to trap him upon his return. After clearing eleven cages and growing stronger, Gu Yi faced the twelfth trial, Dimensional Fragments, with only the final Space-Time Cage remaining.

  • Gu Yi returned to the Cloud Reaching Pagoda and entered the King's Cage without taking an escape talisman, while the Dwarf Demon steward reported his plan to the Bloodkill Plains Master.
  • Gu Yi broke the first three cages, chose to continue, and endured the Asura Force Field as he shattered successive trials.
  • Gu Yi spent fifteen days advancing through the cages, strengthened his physique with Demon God Bone, and broke through to the fourth level of the Heavenly Martial realm after escaping the Chaos Cage.
  • The King's Cage formed the twelfth trial, Dimensional Fragments, and Gu Yi chose to continue toward the final Space-Time Cage.

Ch. 242Asura Force Field

Gu Yi broke the final Space-Time Cage in the King's Cage, greatly improving his grasp of space and time and earning the Asura Force Field. After preparing an enhanced Nine Suns Annihilation, he left through the gate of light to face the Bloodkill Plains Master’s ambush.

  • The Bloodkill Plains Master spent sixteen days preparing the Myriad Ghosts Devouring Soul Array outside the King's Cage and waited for Gu Yi to emerge.
  • Gu Yi endured the Dimensional Fragment Cage, raising his Space Intent Realm to the ninth level before shattering the barrier and entering the Space-Time Cage.
  • Gu Yi navigated the chaotic space-time storm, gained deeper insight into the Time Intent Realm and Space Intent Realm, and broke the final cage.
  • The hall spirit granted Gu Yi the Asura Force Field, which joined the God of Killing Field as one of his abilities.
  • Gu Yi fused nine flames and added the Evil God Seed’s Power of Thunder to create an enhanced Nine Suns Annihilation, then entered the gate of light to confront the Bloodkill Plains Master.

Ch. 243A Thoroughly Satisfying Battle (Happy Mid-Autumn Festival)

Gu Yi escaped the King's Cage and fought the Bloodkill Plains Master, surviving their clash through his powerful recovery and forcing the wounded master to retreat. Gu Yi collected the remains of the Myriad Ghosts Devouring Soul Array and planned to return for his enemy after becoming stronger.

  • Gu Yi emerged from the King's Cage after thirty-six days, and the Bloodkill Plains Master attacked him with the Myriad Ghosts Devouring Soul Array and his battle spear.
  • Gu Yi detonated a lightning-enhanced Nine Suns Annihilation, destroying most of the array and badly burning the Bloodkill Plains Master while remaining unharmed.
  • Gu Yi activated his enhancements and fought the injured Bloodkill Plains Master with his Black Dragon Spear, repeatedly healing from severe wounds as they clashed.
  • The Bloodkill Plains Master fled toward the Blood Fiend Divine Hall when he realized he could not defeat Gu Yi, and Gu Yi chose not to pursue him.
  • Gu Yi's Black Dragon Spear shattered after the battle, and he gathered the surviving formation flags to use their vengeful souls to strengthen his Ghost Soul Banner.
