History

Spirit Hall initially maintained a comparatively balanced relationship with the Upper Three Sects and granted each sect a Pope Order. This arrangement later became controversial because the Order conferred honorary-elder treatment on anyone who carried it. 59 102

Its influence expanded through sub-halls established throughout Douluo Continent, including in the capitals and major cities of both empires. Free awakenings, subsidies, recruitment, and local military presence made these branches central to Spirit Hall's power beyond its limited directly controlled territory. 184

Dai Yichen subsequently began dismantling Spirit Hall's influence within the Star Luo Empire. Most Star Luo branches were cleared out, while sub-halls in major cities were allowed to remain only as restricted information-transmission sites. Their troops lost patrol rights, and they were required to pay stationing fees that funded the empire's own free awakenings and public academies. 220

As the Spirit Pagoda project emerged, Spirit Hall sought access for its Soul Masters. Bibi Dong, the Golden Generation, and Qian Renxue attended its opening alongside representatives of the continent's major powers. 273 287 Bibi Dong later offered Hu Liena in a proposed marriage alliance with the Star Luo Imperial Family, seeking favorable terms from Dai Yichen. 292 After the Soul Master Competition, Dai Yichen offered to help Spirit Hall open a passage to the God Realm on the condition that it merge into the Star Luo Empire as a vassal state. 324
